Like the look of this side. Well structured and well balanced. In the next few weeks I'd like to see nank and pickett in for soldo and short/ellis and I think that's our best line up. Can't see how Caddy gets in. Lynch has taken his forward spot and caddy can't ruck. Chol adds more flexibility as a relief ruck and forward option.
It looks a terrific side doesn’t it. I am trying to keep the lid on but Rance aside, it is very close to our best.
Nankervis will come in possibly after the Melbourne game and I still hold out hopes for Noah Balta in a key defence role.
I also have reservations about Jack Graham and his left side, but with Ross unlikely it looks like he has been annointed.
Caddy McIntosh and Soldo may be unlucky?

From our premiership 22 just Rance & Grigg unavailable.

In the vfl:
Caddy towner butler nankervis* mcintosh

Covered by
Short Bolton stack Baker soldo & Chol.

The team is evolving as it has to.

Caddy and Nank and Grover will be back for the finals though I'm pretty sure.

So pressure is on in a big way, which is exactly what we want going forward.

And yet Kmac gets selected every week. Obviously the MC not paying attention to you.

You were saying  i think you meant to say the match committee are listening to me ;)
I also said id much prefer Graham and Baker ahead of Macintosh and great to see them both in.

Macca will get back he's hard at it and a hard runner but he needs to work on his disposal and decision making.

We have so much depth and spots in the 22 are getting harder to pick each week with all players coming back from injury plus VFL boys pushing for selection.

Don’t know how Bakes trained this week after being injured in the vfl, won’t be surprised if he’s a late out for Caddy.
Having said that, with both Caddy and Graham not the quickest players, is there room for both of them in the side?

We're loading our midfield/half back/half fwd with agile, quick, slick, skillful and evasive players... it's all about slicing and dicing through the opposition.

Looks a good couple of changes. I like KMac but he does need to find some form.

A little worried about Baker in defence, is he too short? We'll see, an interesting move. Baker was playing well but got squeezed out, hope he does well.

DS

No smaller than Caleb who's been killing it in the backline. Worth a try. Baker is a damn good player, but there's a big squeeze for forward positions.

Agree. But Short is not the man to do that.

Have a feeling Short is being primed for such a role. Been a clear change in his role on the weekend. Had 6 tackles and 45 pressure act points (way above his average). Previous week he had zero tackles and a crazy low 7 pressure act points. I think he's been given a challenge. It will be interesting to see how he responds.

Bakes is a footy player you can trust. Tough, good overhead, smart, hard at the contest. Back forward whatevs.

Like this snake. Caleb Daniel's been a success for the Dogs in defence. Good players will find the ball & influence the game.
Am quite excited by Bakes return & a potential new role..

Looking at the 18 named as starters in our VFL team.... 13 of them have played in the ones this year. ......
That old injury curse may possibly have given us a competitive advantage others can't match.

B: 43. D. Eggmolesse-Smith, 38. N. Balta, 46. B. Miller
HB: 51. S. Morris, 42. R. Garthwaite, 45. P. Naish
