Changes vs Port Power Rnd 18

Bit surprised by the changes, interesting that Caddy is playing in the 2s again.

Short will want to play a better game on the wing this week hes just been slotted into a very hot position.

Happy for Graham and Baker to get another run each.

I always reserve the utmost respect for the Match Committee.

But Kmac out before Short?
All players know that going back for a stint in the magoos is not PUNISHMENT, it's DEVELOPMENT.

Kmac is being fine tuned; he has the tank, body and hard edge needed for finals. Caddy is being fine-tuned. Baker was fine-tuned and now he's back. Balta will be fine-tuned.

We're developing a team that could spank our 2017 side. Be happy. This is exciting.

Windy day expected on satedey
Flappers McIntosh wasnt selected just in case he wasnt blown away.

Short out next week

Just on the emergencies its interesting Butler and Cujo named ahead of Caddy in the emergencies.

Surely neither of those two play ahead of Caddy unless someone has a niggle over them.

You can select any of the 4 emergencies
It doesn't have to be in order.

Hardwick and the match commitee musn't "get" Richmimd if they are dropping McIntosh. Only so.much of a career you can have by guardians space.

Good changes overall IMO.

Its always been whoever you need you take.
Imagine you lose Chol you would replace him with caddy.
But if you lost Castagna, Bulter would be in.

It's not about some pecking order of who plays, Craig.

At VFL level, they are fine-tuning aspects of Caddy's game, tweaking his role. With the arrival of Lynch, and the somewhat unexpected emergence of Chol, the squeeze is on Caddy, so his potential contribution has to more flexible.

We are creating a juggernaut! We are creating a new Richmond oppo coaches and analysts have not been preparing for.

All players accept the purpose of time spent in the VFL these days. Unlike when Vickery (and others) would get dropped then sulk in the magoos instead of tearing it up.

Trust me, in the finals the 2019 Caddy will be better and more versatile than the 2017 version.

Kmac very strong, but leaves himself open due to low pocession game style,I.think Pickett is a serious.upgrade.

Whoever takes Kamdyn’s spot better have a tank because shutting down space is crucial to our game plan. He holds players up and forces them to kick whilst stationary. This allows our players to man up and get the spare across.

Yeah not sure about that. I'm struggling to see how Caddy can squeeze in based on the current setup. Not sure what they would be fine tuning. For me Stack has been the structure changer. He is the hard body Caddy but much quicker and better skilled.

Yep the MC been getting it spot on lately

Agree. You could argue Short should have gone as well but either they want him improving for finals or there were no easy ins to cover both him and Eggs outa the backline.

KMac always does a power of running and pressure acts but have no problem with him going out. Great to see Jack and Bakes back in.

Good times.

yeah, if it were me picking teams for finals I'd have Stack back and Caddy in, assuming he was in OK form. We know he can take big marks and kick those clutch goals in finals and you can't buy that experience. Out-of-form Caddy though?

iMac is a brave out. I’m pleased to see Bolton and short both named on a wing. Let’s hope they rip it up. Short is a bit of a worry but this is the position he is most suited to if he plays it right.
