Disagree. It's going to make it as safe as possible for larger crowds. This is going to be a common theme everywhere. Access to more places and activities for those who are vaccinated.

Nothing wrong with it, assuming there are enough vaccinations for everyone. Not much different to stopping unvaccinated children from attending pre-schools.
Completely disagree with yr view. Its utter BS.

Everything wrong with it. Blinded.

That's fine, disagree all you want even if you can't spell out why, but you need to get ready for the difference in what people will be able to do based on their vaccination status.

I'm seeing it already where I am. The first set of lockdown restrictions where there are differences for the vaccinated (and kids below the allowable vaccination age) and unvaccinated. There's a lot of dialogue between countries wrt to travel bubbles where vaccination is a pre-requisite.

Protect the elderly and vulnerable?

Given someone in Sydney, in their 30s, has just died of COVID I presume you are defining elderly as over 30.

If you want to let it rip, you have to be willing to be one of the dead.

DS
Quite a few in ICU too who are under 50. The 'let it rip' crowd are out of their minds whilst we have such low vacination numbers.

Let COVID run riot, the shops might be open, but the businesses will still be going out of business because, and I'm sure some will find this surprising, people will voluntarily stay home if there is a pandemic raging outside.

individuals choosing not to get vaccinated impose an externality on the rest of society.

Whether it’s taxpayers paying for an anti vax person getting sick from COVID and taking an icu ward which we socialise in Australia or being more like.y to spread it i have very little empathy for your personal freedom in this space.

what is wrong with it? What is blinded?

No its not ! Pathetic to create a 2 tier class system via vax & Im pro vax.

If people want to attend irrespective & know the risk, its their choice!

france is having massive issues with protests over his vax policies. its a democracy & not mandated to have a vax

My gut feel govt & afl using the footy as a sly agenda. A r holes, not bold move imo
Nice of you to go back and edit posts.

A democracy is a system of government, not sure what that has to do with vaccines.

Where do you stand on baby vaccinations? Similar stance?

Your stance that those choosing to keep society at risk should be allowed to do as they please because "Democracy" just doesn't make. any sense

What is my vax stance?? Similar to what?( what is yr contexr? which vax) Sure u can make an expert opinion via my prior posts. not what Im talking about. missed the dart board
yeah there is an "accepted line of thought based on fear" push 4 many to accept it. Sure yr can join the dots. About the only point I agreed with Dan he covered that.

Is your point that individual freedoms are sacrosanct irrespective of whether or not they harm or kill other people?

are you able to answer my questions directly - you ignored them to provide your ‘cryptic take down’.

I’m genuinely curious as to what is the basis of your opinions. There is clearly another way of running the country to the way we are doing it now but I haven’t wrapped my head around advocating for a situation like India or Indonesia or if people think there is a way to not have that happen whilst opening up with our double vaccination rates so low.

this says we may need 90-95% penetration with delta to get herd immunity. Think individual freedoms need to take a back step on this one unless some medical reason to not do it.

What I find funny about anti-vax and anti-lockdown people is that they tell us to “keep hiding under the bed while we live our lives.” The irony of this is that at some point, we will be the ones allowed to live our lives (travel, go to the footy, etc), while they will be pariahs who are stuck at home in quasi lockdown because not even their local pub will let them inside to enjoy a pint.

692 pages of posts, your hissy fit isn't really important enough for me to go back to want to research your posting history.

Simple fact is the world will start to treat those choosing not to get vaccinated differently, much like they have with Anti-vaxxers and their kids. I've got no real issue with it.

You choose to be a risk to society, society protects itself from that risk. Sometimes individual rights take a back-seat for the common good.

Still have no idea what democracy has to do with it.

Well, on that front, the AFL is already working on a Vax Only crowd system for next year.

Clearly takes leadership and coordination to spread disinformation effectively. Wouldn’t have happened pre social media as quickly or effectively. Seems to be almost a state thing in the past (anti-semitism by Germany) that leveraged state institutions or else religious (world is flat) to influence so many peoples way of thinking.

wonder if anyone has ever coordinated a March for vaccination and for community spirit and against selfishness. would That attract a big crowd? I’ve never rallied in my life and would probably go to that to just overwhelm the numbers of the stupidity marches.
