Coronavirus

I'm at C, and not sure why anyone with half a brain is engaging in any non-essential activity. I can understand the peanuts doing what they want but anyone with the intelligence to look beyond their tiny world will see a storm coming.

Or perhaps they just don't like old people?
Maybe they want their inheritance earlier.

This explains why Italy has copped the brunt of the Coronavirus.

*smile*. That's one way to give yourself a flogging with a base ball bat.

It's been reported that China's recovering and starting to ease these draconian laws with kids back at school, people back at work etc.. Can we say the whole period was ~ 2 months? Surely, this would be the mean average for most countries (maybe bar Italy).
Considering they lied n denied for the first few months of this *smile* starting and accused several governments of racism n xenophobia, why would anyone believe anything coming from their control freak dictators.

Sorry, you talking about the Chinese or the Americans there?

considering the calls for isolation and closed borders started from some before we had any cases here, i cant see it can stop until there are no cases worldwide, or there is an effective treatment.
Suicide rates will be higher than Coronavirus deaths if that was to happen.

just watched a breaking new flash conference interrupting the races, from the NSW minister for health.

It was like watching a shaun micalaff doing a jo beijelke Peterson skit.

old bloke appeared entirely incompetent.

when asked about 1000 people on Bondi beach , he castigates people and goes

'this is serious, young people can die too'. as if people know if they are the 499th or 501st person to go for a swim.

then when asked about 2700 people being unleashed off an infected cruise ship in Sydney, he

goes 'well, people recover, look at Tom Hanks'

I am NOT making this up.

Just watched it. NSW Minister of Health has got the virus doesn't he. Coughing a lung up.

Thank God Peter 'Border Force' Dutton and Scott 'I stopped the boats' Morrison are on the job, hunting down The Toilet Paper Bandits while infected people walk off a ship in SYDNEY *smile* HARBOUR.

5 cases in Darwin all arrived on planes. When are they going to get smart enough to close the airport? A very vulnerable population up here that is not being protected enough in my opinion

If they are Australian residents there's isn't much you can do. You really can't close your borders to your own citizens.

When comparing normal flu to Coronavirus deaths it seems the 0.1% vs ~3% figure is apples and oranges. The normal flu figure is based on estimated cases while the Coronavirus figure is based on confirmed cases. Saw a figure of 10% if normal flu was based on confirmed cases.

I disagree. 2 people just flew in from a cruise ship in Sydney and probably infected a lot of people on the plane. We can do better than that. It ’s just plain stupid and selfish.

Unbelievable isn't it.
Four people onboard the ship had been tested and were awaiting the results. So that being the case, why were the 2,700 passengers allowed to disembark?
Would it be for cost reasons? Was it the easy option for all involved in the decision to let them off.
If they kept the passengers onboard until the results were known, that would have meant a whole new ball game if the results came back as positive.

You can't not allow your citizens in. Grab them at entry points and quarantine them if that's what's needed, but you can't shut the borders to your citizens

Good that they closed down the beaches but what about the shopping centres, cafes, schools, trains, casino etc?
