Did you see it? Bowler dropped a return catch off Maddinson and it ricocheted onto the stumps. Don't have to be dead to be stiff.

Yes i saw a replay of it, he was batting beautifully by all reports.

Finch just not up to test level

One dayers and 20/20 only for him imo

Hasn’t got the technique required to succeed at test level

To be fair, he probably wasn't out, and he took 5 catches.

The ludicrous overreaction by the idiots at CA to ban Smith and Warner for a year is starting to bite, and will only hurt more as the summer goes on. The batting is not good enough, and it also means they have to keep Paine in the side when Carey is ready. Paine is a good man, a good keeper and a steady hand, but a tactically poor captain, and as good as he looks with the willow, and as much as Leysy protests, he just doesn't make enough runs and never has.

Excellent post.

That’s putrid Handscomb.

No wonder he’s struggling to cement a spot with shots like that. Park cricketer shot.

Not sure whether Skull is going to get into trouble, i hope he doesn't. He was talking about the Carrom ball, where the ball is held between the middle finger and the thumb.
I wasn't paying a whole lot of attention, i'm pretty sure Skull said you need to have a big middle finger. Isa Guha the former fast bowler for the England women's side asked him "how big's your", Skull lost the plot with one of his crazy laughs. There was silence for a few seconds until Gilly who was commentating as well composed himself to carry on commentating.
**** i laughed.

Sounds like you're saying it was OK to ban Bancroft because he's not as good.
I wonder if we'd all be as critical now of the ban if we were winning.

I'm glad they were banned.

Yeah me too. For the first time in a long time hope they win.

Agree. Perhaps the length can be queried but they deserved a substantial punishment.

We should be chasing under 250 if we bowled better.

Same here. It was an egregious offence and while you can argue about whether the sentence was too harsh, it can't be mitigated simply because it's now apparent how badly the national team needs those players.

We all cried foul at Essendon; this is in the same ballpark.

I don't have a problem with a ban but it was ridiculously excessive.

It was the equivalent of Richmond giving a player a 25 week suspension after the tribunal gave them one week.

How long did Justin Charles get for cheating?
