David Astbury, Thank You

Loved watching Dave pull on the number 12 for the club.

He was a leader on and off the field from the beginning - showed you can overcome injuries and be a one club champion and premiership player.

Dave was central to our emergence as a power club and I doubt we would have seen the success we have without him. Remember you build a premiership team around the back 6 and DTLD was central to that.

Well played Dave.

What a great career, and a fantastic retirement speech.

I just loved the acknowledgment that he gave us Richmond fans at the end, my respect for Dave could not be any higher.

Haven't experienced goosebumps like that since the Richo video. Great speech Dave.

I would have thought Rancey would be there.
Not allowed, club is a bubble.
Congratulations DTLD, extracted everything possible out of himself. Triple premiership player isn’t a bad tag to carry for the rest of his life.

Hopefully he's just put paid to all the *smile* that people both in the media and on here (they know who they are) flung at Rance and the club when he left.

That was an amazing speech he gave, made me tear up.

First of this Premiership era to call it a day. Sad.

Well played Dave.

He battled to climb the mountain and reached the peak 3 times. What an example to set, resilient never give up approach.

Well played
