Nice win at Palace this morning. So many anti Liverpool journalists out there trying to say that Salah dived this morning and that the red card wasn't a red card. It makes you shake your head reading it ::)

Salah made a meal of it but a foul’s a foul and the penalty was the right call.

Only question on the red card was whether Salah’s last touch had got away from him. Was it still a goal scoring opportunity...? It’d be a brave ref to say Mo wasn’t going to score in that scenario.

Early stages of the English Championship looking interesting.

Leeds, under the management of Marcelo Bielsa off to a flyer! Flogged some really solid opposition too (Of note, defeated Stoke 3-1, Derby 4-1) :clap

Some of the other big boys, Villa and Middlesbrough off to a solid start too.

The top of the Championship table is more like the Premiership than the Premiership!

Yeah, would love to see some of the historically strong clubs like Leeds, Villa, Forest, Sheff Wednesday back up at some stage in the not too distant future.

Really like seeing Wolves back up playing top flight.

I'm off to Old Trafford in a few weeks to see them play ManU. Nuno Santo has been brilliant for them. Hope they have an off day though, as it's a treat for my Mrs' 50th.

The last time we saw ManU was at Wembley when Spurs smashed the 3-0. Not a fun night.

Leeds 3-0 away win against Norwich. Now sitting atop the Championship on goal difference ahead of Middlesbrough. 15 goals from 5 matches. Intriguing encounter coming up this Friday, with Middlesbrough travelling to Elland Road to take on Leeds.

Spurs with a statement.

The chosen one choosing to lose it in the press conference was so good.

So Leeds and Middlesbrough played out a pretty boring nil all draw. Both sitting 2 pts clear of the chasing pack with goal difference separating the pair in 1st & 2nd.

Interestingly, a few bad weeks has seen Villa drop down to mid table. As well as Stoke, QPR, Hull and Reading sitting in the lower rungs, with terrible starts. These are 4 sides who have recently spent respectable stints in the top flight.

Not to mention Sunderland a big club whose former owner thought he could stay at the top flight without spending a cent.

Hence they plummeted from the Prem straight through the Championship into the league 1.

Yeah a strange one. When they came down to the Championship, most observers (and bookies) placed them among the favourites to win (or at least finish in the top few) and go straight back to the Premier. But of course, as you suggest, straight down through the Championship in a disastrous season.

Stoke are looking eerily similar to that if they don't get a wriggle on. They were considered the strongest of the three to come down from last season and the most likely to go straight back up, but have looked anything but so far.

Stoke are in a world of hurt and may just follow the Black cats disastrous fall from the Prem.

Not as much hurt mind you as The Special One who has Man Utd going like a bunch of busteds.

Reports are that he'll be sacked. I don't know why teams waste money and time on this prick.

What's your thoughts currently Craig?

Leeds's form has tapered a little. An unexpected 1-2 loss to lowly Birmingham at home and a couple of draws away from home to Sheff Wednesday and lowly Millwall (although some wins among these too) means they've been bought back to the pack a bit (arguably should have had a win at Hillsborough against Sheff Wed, but just couldn't convert chances), but still on top on GD.

Middlesbrough still biting at their heels and were many people's pick to finish first before the season started. Aston Villa back down to mid table. But their Midlands rival, newly demoted West Brom now only a point from top spot and making a charge. Stoke has got themselves clear from the bottom for now, but still 2/3rds back.

So much more fascinating than the Premiership. Really hoping Leeds can do what Wolves did last season and kick away from the pack. But following Leeds has been eerily similar to following Richmond for many years. Always expecting them to implode at some point - maybe around Christmas.
