Game Day - Tigers V Suns

It's game day folks. We have all had our say on team selection but now we support hard for our tiger boys

Congrats to Seth Campbell on his debut and all the best to Kosi and Naismith for their first AFL game for Richmond.

Steely Green will be playing in the reserves on Sat, so only Cumberland and Brown went up as the emergencies.

We have had a sneak peek at Yzes game plan in the preseason and I'm not sure if they have purposely held back on some of it but we'll sure find out soon enough.

Keep pace on the ball and move it with precision.

In what is likely to be a tight tussle, I see us pulling away and coming out 17 point winners.

The weather looks like it will be ok but still warm for that time of day. Hopefully, it's cloudy to block out the sun and the humidity is not too high.

I got so excited and confident that I threw a little cocktail party yesterday,

just for me and mrs, easy.

we invented a new HiViz pink cocktail and called it a Serpentine Trombone,

the like of which I dont think the world has ever seen.

we danced around on an infinity lawn, listened to Maurice Frawley, and had wild fantasies about the Maurice Riolis.

I learnt the art of pre-emptive celebrations from Winston Churchill,

and I think im getting pretty close to perfecting them.

One thing for sure is that unless we blitz the suns from the start the game day thread will at some stage mention how the cupboard is bare and how hopeless we have become
I’m prepared for a roller coaster this year.

After living in the Gold Coast for past 3 years
AFL is very alive up here
In particular south of Brisbane

I haven’t heard or seen one bit of advertising for this game since I have been up here.

Have seen plenty of advertising for NRL though.

Zero expectations for today and this season as a whole so no nerves or anxiety here. The only thing I’d like to see is our young players in Campbell, Gibcus, Banks, Dow and Ryan play well.

We have a bunch of decent players but have bled too much top shelf leadership and footy smarts over the years

The wheel is slowly grinding to a proper rebuild I fear
