Yep, the evidence is overwhelming . . . unless you work for New corp.

This is a revealing little story from Media Watch.

https://www.abc.net.au/mediawatch/episodes/climate/102641590

You know, it always pays to check the claims made.

Rowan Dean on Sky claimed it was -10.8 at Glen Innes, really? Let's take a look: http://www.bom.gov.au/jsp/ncc/cdio/...lyDataFile&p_startYear=&p_c=&p_stn_num=056013 and http://www.bom.gov.au/jsp/ncc/cdio/...lyDataFile&p_startYear=&p_c=&p_stn_num=056013 Nope, no -10 at either weather station at Glen Innes.

He also claimed -8.1 in Goulburn, nope, wrong again: http://www.bom.gov.au/jsp/ncc/cdio/...lyDataFile&p_startYear=&p_c=&p_stn_num=070263

Can't even cherry pick accurate data, let's face it, Sky are lying, it really is as simple as that.

Still, I suppose some gullible fools will believe them.

The reality: 3 hottest days world wide in 1 week, oceans at ridiculous temperatures, and the claims made by Sky are complete falsehoods.

You should be a bit more careful when checking these claims. You've posted the same site for Glen Innes and the reading for Goulburn was at the airport not at the TAFE sites. Yes, it's cherry picking but you can't fight misinformation with sloppy checking.

As they say, there's a reason most holiday disaster movies start with the government ignoring scientists.

Yeah it's all totally normal, just the weather guys.

I’m starting to wonder. Does societal collapse begin as soon as the coming couple of decades.

If we get a few significant crop failures around the world, you’ll have mass death and perpetual conflict in the hottest regions.

But even in areas of the world we like to think of as insulated somewhat (Northern Europe, southern Australia, NZ etc), the inflation of the past year or so will look like child’s play.

I was doing a quick calculation of the July max temps we have had in Hobart. Definitely the warmest average max ever. Long term average is 11.8. All time record was July 2010 with 13.9. When I looked at it late in the week it was 14.5 so far for July 2023. With today getting to 17.9 and a few other mild days to come, will end the month closer to 15.

Looks like we won’t be needing the roof on the stadium. In fact why build the stadium at all, won’t get to use it as society will be collapsing by that point.
