Yep yep. Throwing money hasn't worked. There is so much corruption and mismanagement of funds and the people who need it never see it or get the help they need.

What we have done hasn't worked. It's well past time for a change of tact.

GROUND HOG DAY......DAY 10......The repetition continues .

What sort of explanation is that.,,Abuse,Violence ,broken families is already happening at a large scale.
And were did l say forced resettlement .
Adults who have suffered abuse or want to escape the environment should be given the option of relocation,or maybe that already is. happening.
Children who are in a constant abusive or violent environment ,should be removed that is a no brainer ,,,,And that is for all of Australia ,White,Black etc ...
Larger regional towns are not necessarily safer. Obviously Alice Springs is in the news at the moment. Tennant Creek has similar issues, as does Darwin, Laverton, Cobber Pedy, Broken Hill.

As for removing children, yes children should not be living in places they are at risk, but to remove a child you need somewhere for them to go. There are not enough foster carers in Australia for the need, whether the kids be Indigenous or not. Then for kids who have experienced trauma you need somewhere with suitably trained carers. To remove a child from a parent, or family member carer, you need evidence the abuse happened, and evidence of where etc- there is no point removing a child from their parent if they are getting abused by the local priest say.

it is a complex situation with no easy answers. but we need to keep trying.

No, what you are posting is all puerile racist crap. A quick google search on what your pdf's contain quickly show you it's not giving you the full story and twisting the truth.

Your last crap post. First PDF states the Welcome to country isn't an indigenous tradition, it was something Ernie Dingo made up in the 70s. A twisted half truth. Here's what Ernie says about the Welcome to Country he "invented"

Welcomes to country between Indigenous Australian communities have a history of thousands of years, but Dingo and Walley say their’s was the first to be performed in the country for non-Indigenous Australians.

Back then, Dingo and Walley were part of the Middar Aboriginal theatre, with a show billed at Perth fringe festival. They were asked by a group of Polynesian performers – two Māori and two Cook Islanders – to give them a welcome to country, as their spiritual beliefs dictate. After consulting with his community’s elders, Walley was given permission to welcome the visiting performers.

Dingo says before that occasion, “We couldn’t do it to white people because they wouldn’t understand, and there was too much negativity.”

Your other PDF about the restaurnant with no menu is again complete racist crap. A childish analogy to appeal to the lowest common denominator, designed to push the notion that the Voice is nothing to those who can't or won't think for themselves, or for the racists *smile* to forward around.

To use that Grade 2 analogy, The Voice referendum is voting on whether we should build a restaurant, not choosing what items are on the menu. The work on the menu starts after it's been agreed to build the restaurant in the first place.
First Perth Fringe Festival 2012. Restaurant lot, just a skit. Glad it got your attention.

Thorpe , the black mans Pauline ... and please dont ask me to explain

No, just the people who wrote the racist nonsense in those anonymous emails you posted.
Anonymous , cant you read as it was written & sent by Knocker Renfrey to all those Pollies. I forwarded it on & you are not on my mailing list.

Yet Linda Burney, Indigenous Minister referenced in that pdf, only became Minister last year.

No need to continue really. You've readily shown your true colours and then doubled down.

none of the PDFs I looked at had any sender, but admittedly didn't read all of them. Whoever "Knocker Renfrey" is I'm guessing he's an old bitter white man who likes regurgitating racist urban (or rural) myths.

The PM has consistently said that the Voice will follow the recommendations of the Uluṟu declaration which has already been posted here

https://ulurustatement.org/education/faqs/

Some of the questions asked by Dutton are addressed in this. Others are clearly in the realm covered in the statement of detail yet to be worked through.
If you read Dutton’s questions some relate to very specific detail about who will be members of the Voice as an example and it is very clear that this sort of detail is to come, much of which will be decided by parliament not the referendum.
The referendum question is not about that detail, it is about a statement in the constitution.
Uluru Statement is that enshrined in Australian Law. Group of brudders & sisters have a exclusive pow wow then expect us to kowtow to them. Brudders & sisters have stopped people from climbing Ayres Rock & also a mountain up Northern NSW. Also want a Treaty so if they get that does Mabo become extinct plus along with all other Indigenous laws eg Royalties etc etc..

You asked a question about what the PM had supplied as detail and I answered the question. He has said the Voice will be in line with the Uluru statement.

Of course the Uluṟu statement is not enshrined into law. If it was the Voice would already exist.

The treaty is different to the Voice. Lydia Thorpe would still be in the greens if it wasn’t. It is a totally different issue.

So they want two bites of the cherry ?.

Lovely respectful post there. But you're not a racist of course.

Right now what they are going for is the Voice to parliament. Sovereignty and a treaty are not part of the current proposed change the constitution.

Whether there is ever a referendum on them who knows but if there is it will require the same agreement as this change does, majority of voters and majority of states.

Call it what you like but the vote now is not on those things and this thread is about the Voice.

You seem to not understand what you are actually being asked to vote on

Group of brudders & sisters have a exclusive pow wow then expect us to kowtow to them. Brudders & sisters

The good thing about racists who pretend they aren't racist is that eventually they give themselves away - they can't help but slip back into the racist tropes they regularly exchange with their fellow racists.

ok ok Tiger brothers , sisters and cousins

time to cool it a bit , there's loads of mis information , agendas and lies on both sides
there's also good bits from both sides too that unfortunately get lost in a forum like this

take half an hour out to watch this and have a laugh

The one you want to return to? It was last century mate, like most of your ideas about how indigenous people should live.
So obviously you are ok with children getting abused ,lm not in fact lm cringing as lm writing this .
Im amazed at how many people on here are so closed minded on the subject,NOT ALL,.
