Sorry but this clearly shows your lack of understanding of footy in general and of Houli as well.

Garth in particular has zero chance of being a Houli replacement. Short is exactly the type that would be replacing Houli.

Sorry professor. Short plays well because he is in yellow and black. If he was at stkilda you wouldn't even notice him.
Signing him shouldnt be a priority.
Keeping broad, graham and Bolton should be

Shorts a massive part of how we play. That distribution out of the backline has actually improved how we play on last year and one of the reasons why we probably don't rely on Dusty so much, its increased our scores from our defensive half.

Short is a higher priority than Bolton for sure.

If you want to see a team that relies on one player to rebound from their defensive half, take no further look than Adelaide. Look what happened to them when Brodie Smith got injured last year, they've been a totally different team having to rely purely on Laird for that rebound. They have some good defenders in there in Brown, Cheney (to an extent), but their ball movement from the backline has changed dramatically without Smith in there. Short is similar for us and I think people are underestimating his impact on the team purely looking at contested ball numbers etc.

Broad and Graham are high priorities for me, but Short is right on their tail but he is in front of Bolton for sure. Shai whiklst he has potential is not a priority signing IMO.

Smith was good when Adelaide were good.
Losing Cameron and lever has destroyed them with their 400 injuries hasn't helped either.

You hedging your bets a bit here, 'one of the reasons'. Yes probably. I agree he's playing well. Disagree on how dispensable he is.

Agree, forget the pre season camp, although it didn't help, losing lever and Cameron was huge, 2 of their best 6 clutch players. In terms of structure, like us losing rance and rioli.

Lever largely been replaced by Doedee who has been doing well.

Biggest impacts for me are Smith and Cameron. They were hoping Milera would step up but he's a totally different player. Think you are overstating Levers impact here comparing him to losing Rance. Geez that's a massive long shot.

100% short looks like Houli replacement for the future only quicker and better disposal. How was that goal from 55m out split the middle.

I think Houli and Lambert will be the running player starting at half back (one goes where the ball goes and the other controls half back and centre

Like to get him locked away, there’s others that are much more expandable out and in contract. At the start of this season there were 3 players in CEllis, Markov an Menadue many would have said would be chances to have the half back role Short has made his own, with question marks on the other 3 as well as Drummond an Smith I think getting Short signed up is very important now.

Brett Harvey reckons 17 clubs will circling and that he is worth 500k per year.
That's good for us. If Weller got pick 2 for freo.
Let's start the bidding war

He won't be paid $500k next year. We should get him for $350-$400k IMO.
If we were to trade him, we'd only get something similar to the Saad trade so a 2nd rounder. I'd rather keep him than lose him for that.

Tigers would be considered bloody STUPID if they let Shorty wslk..pay him his worth....

Yes i'd take that. How do we get him, and what would it cost us?

I wouldn't be giving short 500 when someone like Lloyd is gettable at 600-650.
Short should be happy with 300 otherwise see ya

Zippa , short is the bedt kick and distance gained in tbe team, he IS worth more than 300 a year.
