Josh Caddy

Caddy was a player we really needed over the last couple of years, so to an extent you can be more tolerable, but our depth has stood up in recent times, so he's really going to have to (I hope) work his backside off for his spot.

re the 50, what exactly did he do wrong? He was running with the ump to stand the mark. If the port player wants to play on so be it but Caddy is entitled to run with the ump to man the mark.

Wrong. has to two metres clear and not impede the other player. this is why most players let them go and get someone else downfield stand the mark.

I'll always back Josh in. Slow, but a really sound footballer who makes good decisions - except when running back after a 50m penalty! Appreciate that he has a bit of mongrel to him also.

I won't be surprised to see him dropped next week.
No, Egg/Ross and maybe George on the list in front of him. Caddy could be very important come finals, just needs to get some touch and match fitness.

yep, he's a clutch player when in form. Give him a bollocking re the 50 and then give him time to find form.

Drop Castagna who is not even mediocre VFL standard in 2020, play Caddy forward. At least he might get it. Then he can actually kick it. Far too slow for midfield but can take a mark, but must be instructed to play wide of TL and JR.
We have a guy named Markov who is really quick, could play wing.

did some good things, but a shame his highlight wasn't one of them

He’s actually not slow, this is a fact, look at his recruiting times, he’s elite actually.. coming back from a calf and made a mistake.

i would have him forward and let endurance beasts rule wing, imo best 22...

It’s a new rule that asks for unintuitive behaviour. It’s a perfectly understandable mistake.

We don’t want our whole team playing in fear of breaking a rule next week, do we?

The backlash has been too harsh. He’s a bloody smart footballer.

Might find it hard to regain his spot from here methinks.

Not just you but another 99999 other Richmond members agree with you.
He looks really slow and is really lumbering around.
I thought he did his hamstring again last week, when he was going for the ball on the wing, he was 5 meters in front of his opponent, but his opponent ran past him.
If he does come back, he can't play wing. He should be our version of jack Darling.
He is a better forward then Midfielder.

Pickett played his best game when they played him on the wing a few weeks back. Hopefully he starts there again tomorrow,

Caddy's just too slow, especially in the shorter games
