You don't get to hang around for a rebuild unless you're successful like a Sheedy or Malthouse, so Scott performed a refurb. It failed.
He's still young by coaching standards (43). Reckon he'll get another gig, but not sure St.Kilda's a good fit.
Thanks - these facts go against the perception that he inherited a star team (Harvey, Goldstein etc) and didn’t get the most out of them.
He will be best known for getting the most out of an old Carlton bloke who won them an elimination final against us.
Scott managed 4 final series out of 10 years isn’t that crash hot and there is little developing youth now in that squad.
Hardwick has managed 5 final series out of 9 years including the glorious 2017 - it should be 6 out of 10 this year with a side bursting with young talent.
Hardwick, without the profile of Scott has been a much much better coach.
