Opening draw also a massive factor

Thursday night.

Late Sunday afternoon.

Late Sunday afternoon.

Wed night.

… not super kid friendly is it? Basically families excluded from the first two months.

Sunday 1pm round 8 is first vaguely family friendly time slot (in Melbourne)
This draw has been a financial disaster for our football club.

back to back interstate trips
played 4 of the first 5 against last year's top 8

Balta must have had a setback. Still listed as 3/4 weeks.
The local footy show he did late last week, he suggested he was ahead of the prognosis and was a chance for after the bye. Hopefully they simply haven't updated it.

What an unbelievable long list of injuries
Feel especially sorry for the young blokes on that list that are trying to establish themselves and are missing a massive opportunity in the senior team at the moment... ie Bauer, Tresize, Juddy and Ross

It could have really fast tracked their development.

Even Fawcett... he wouldn't have broken into the senior team yet but he would likely have been a focal point in the VFL with Lefau and Kozi playing senior footy.

Serious questions need to asked.
1st year coach should be on a low base.
His assistants aren't super coaches.
So how can we justify spending 7.1mill
And why is there a cap on medical and sports administration??
The AFL is joke.

Because Collingwood and West Coast were outspending everyone - including us, by a significant margin, when it cames to medical/sports science and recruiting. It was likely to end up with a two tiered competition where few clubs remain competitive.
I remember someone saying we had Greg, Frank and some part time volunteers whilst Collingwood had permanent staff in every state, and multiple to cover the TAC. They then had part timers cover gaps.

Geez, didn't realise that Taranto was out for so long. Though maybe 4-5 max.
