AFL have employed a specialist to look into all the head trauma. Even he said on one of the news sites on the weekend that he would be offended if Danger didn't get suspended if the AFL a real about head trauma.

If the AFL are real about head trauma then need to ban footy all together. Or get rid of tackling. Or just change it to be non contact, maybe replace it with AFL 9s. It's ridiculous that players get suspended not because of the intent but the result due to what is a normal expected action in a footy game. It's becoming farcical.

Get real if that were Cochin it Martin it would be universally agreed upon to be the right thing to suspend. Danger drove the bloke into the ground with his arms pinned and kreuzer was concussed. Either the head is protected or its not.

No he didn't drive him to the ground. He did a perfect tackle (how else is he supposed to tackle him in this scenario) and the momentum brought Kreuzer to the ground. It was accidental, incidental, whatever you want to call it. You cannot 100% protect the head no matter what you do if you are going to play AFL footy. The act of careless and intentional has lost its meaning in AFL footy. You can do all you can to protect the head but it has to be within reason. You can't make footy rules that will guarantee accidental head knocks at times and then suspend footballers for playing to the rules fairly. This game is becoming a farce.

The laws need to be changed immediately. There would be 15 more current Brownlow medalists ruled out if the rules were the same for their same era.

Just saw the incident for the first time and to me it's not even a reportable offence, free kick maybe but you could also understand if Danger got a free kick for dropping the ball.
This has to be as bad a decision as Ralph Carr's choice of merkin last time he came into my shop.

From Darcy's point of view, it probably is a great tragedy of the game because now a Richmond player will most likely win the Brownlow and he'd absolutely hate that !

The AFL has decreed that there are no accidents in football. If someone gets hurt, someone else must be responsible. That is the framework they all play under, warped as it is.

If he gets off on appeal, it'll be just another example of the AFL working backwards from the desired outcome and twisting the facts to avoid a result that shouldn't have come about in the first place.

Yeah, there is a similar amount of uproar to the other "manifestly inadequate" decision in giving Houli 2 weeks. Though it does seem the AFL has its hands tied with their head-is-sacrosanct agenda in the past.

Maybe they could do a NFL and disassociate themselves with any further studies into concussion in sports.

If it was Dusty we'd be screaming the place down. I hate the system now where if Kruezer wasn't knocked out, there would be no charge. The charge has nothing to do with the action, just the outcome. I think Danger has been dudded.
