Scores:

West Coburg: 3-1, 5-4, 8-5, 8-5-53.
Keilor: 1-0, 3-1, 5-3, 6-5-41.

There was a huge breeze that was blowing to
the end we kicked to in the first quarter. I played
in my favourite position, but amazingly I played
Centre Half Forward for 1 minute in the third
quarter. As soon as the ball went in their forward
line the coach swapped me.

Well, now it's time to play finals
football.

Well, I know it's late, I've been to a mates birthday party...

Tomorrow, we play a first semifinal against Strathmore.
The game is at Greenvale. My dad says we should take
a camping oven and a tent it's that far away.

If we win, it's a preliminary final next week, otherwise
that's it for this season.

We won!

Scores:
West Coburg: 2-1, 5-6, 5-9, 8-12-60
Strathmore: 1-3, 2-4, 3-6, 3-6-24

Preliminary final time next week against Keilor. We play at Jacana - but
lucky for us, it isn't against Jacana - the train station.

Congratulations trapped and team. We'll have to dust off the old PRE banner for you to run through.

Good luck next week. :clap

Unfortunately we lost. I can't really remember the last quarter
because I got mild concussion from a huge kids body flattening
my head.

West Coburg: 2-2, 2-2, 2-4, 2-4-16.
Keilor: 0-1, 1-7, 1-7, 5-8-38.

The umpires had a huge impact on the game with 3 of their five
goals being from free kicks. Well that's it for this year, so I can't
wait till next year.

Gotta hate those fat kids. . .

Bad luck Trapped, you've obviously done well to get there and anything can happen in one game (and it looks like it did!) Hope you're ok champ.

Be careful on your umpires comment - maybe all those frees were deserved?

Now you've got plenty of time to get yourself fitter and and more skilled for next year!

Bad luck trapped. Thanks very much for your updates throughout the season and congratulations on the good sportsmanship that has shone out in your posts. I hope you've recovered from your knock.

Bad luck, trapped. As you might know, the other West Coburg side was knocked out too.

Have a great day on your 13th  :birthday trapped  :)

How's your cricket going this year?  Has Haynes been playing too?

Thanks!

With cricket , we've only had two one day games. I've been one of the opening
batsmen both times. I had to compulsory retire in the first, which means that I
made too many runs, and in the second I went out for a duck. But I did stay in
for 5 or 6 overs. We did win both matches though.

Haynes plays in one of the other U14 teams (we have three) I think they are doing very well.

Have to add, Go Matty White. Have a good break and better pre-season!

Its the start of another season, and by now your probably all bored of this topic,
but anyway.................

Mr. HAyNe$ and I are in A grade against teams that take it unbeleiveably seriously.
We're not really expecting anything big out of the season so it should be a lot of fun.

The drought has caused us to do barely any ball work, so we have been running along the
Moonee Ponds creek doing sprints and lots of fitness stuff.

We also havent been allocated a ground to train on because the grounds are to hard. So if we get the
chance to do any ball work it is on a tiny little park about 40 metres long for about 20 minutes or so a week.

We've been told that we can start training on a real football ground come Wednesday for an hour a week.
Thats the happiest bit of news i can think of.

It sure will be a tough task in A grade but hopefully I can get through it alive.
Also hopefully ill get to play away from centre half back.

Yours Sincerly,
Trapped.
