Hawks smugly waiting for the coveted pick 88 while watching the highlight reel from vickerys under 9 domination. Boy we've snagged a ripper here.

:hihi

Still have a couple of players in my top 60 who haven't been picked, pick 88 is probably the equivalent of pick 60 in any other year.

So sorry to keep you guys waiting, Funeral and wake to attend today

#70 Melbourne Football Club selects - 2.Patrick Lipinski

Patrick Lipinski helped Northern to their second win for the season, finishing with 30 disposals (15 contested), seven tackles and six clearances. Lipinski is a 188cm, 79kg midfielder who from his first six games kicked 11 goals. In his first five games this season, he took a highly impressive 10 contested marks, showing he is a threat forward of centre. Lipinski has played a more prominent midfield role, finishing as Northern's best in the past fortnight, with his 32 disposal effort last week also impressive.

Thanks to Chris Doerre for the write up.

Carlton has some ruck depth, but most of it is as rubbish as its forward line. We address both here with the addition of Darcy Cameron. The 21-year-old stands 204cm and this year kicked 36.14 in 19 games for Claremont, averaging 13 hitouts as well. He's earned a shot at the big time.

I reckon he,ll go rookie draft.

Ed Phillips and Josh Williams.

Phillips is a 186cm mid who went head-to-head with the McCluggage in the finals and arguably shaded him (Phillips 24 disposals, 5 tackles, 2.2 v McC 25 disposals, 6 tackles, 0.0). Competitive, skilful, great endurance and kicks goals (10 in 13 games).

Williams is a 189cm very outside (at this stage) mid. Seriously quick, lovely kick, high hurt factor. Skinny at this stage but a lot to work with.

Will be interesting to see if his lack of athleticism has improved to AFL standard. Can't think of any other player who tested so poorly in his draft year.

There's still a few decent options left, Hawks might yet uncover a couple of bargains.
