I hear Wayne Carey stating we will win easily tomorrow night.

He also reckons we are a better team than 2017.

Spoken by one of the all time greats who really knows his footy and is smart.

Just let us hope he is correct and his statement that we are "red hot favourites" for the flag is not just media talk.

Please Tiges prove him right!!
I think this is spot on. We are now more structured and skilled than 2017....we have not just one forward in Jack. We have a behemoth in Lynch plus Jack and it looks like Dusty will rest forward more. Reckon Ross will come back for the finals (yes he's that good). Bolton and Stack have added class that we did not have in 2017. All this far outweighs the loss of Rance.

I swear if the MC decide not to tag Sidebottom, and he's the main catalyst for a Pies win then then they should be made to watch the new Cats movie on repeat for a *smile* month.

I’ll spew up if Sidebum, Cox, De Goey & Thomas dominate again. can accept a loss in another fashion but not the exact same outcome for the third consecutive time

They will no doubt have an ascendancy in the ruck with Grundy but since stoppages are not a strength of ours, we should focus more on restricting Grundy around the ground.

Exactly, in 3 of our last 4 wins we've been smashed by 13,12 and 8 in clearances. Despite Grundy's dominance Pies are negative in clearances compared to opposition. This is not where we will win the game. The pressure game is where will win it and we're purring in that department atm.

These are the figures for the whole season according to the AFL Record Season Guide. Clearly the shortest, and one of the lightest.

It seems there is a more concerted effort to get more flexibility in the team line up. That is what is making us better structured.

Obviously Caddy is being trialled down back.

Baker trialled down back.

Stack forward and back.

Bolton forward and midfield.

Flossy back and midfield.

BEllis midfield and back.

Titch trialled down back.

Butler getting experience in midfield in vfl. Markov up forward.

Etc

Flexibility, speed and skill is the new prerequisite.
