If he's still contracted we can trade him if he agrees. If his GC contract offer is the same, GC take it over. If they offer him less, we have to make up the difference and the difference counts against our salary cap total. They can increase his contract and they wear the lot.

I think the elevated rookies will stay in for those on the LTIL. At the end of year there will be a time (before Trade Week) to nominate elevated rookies to the Senior List, (those who we choose) some rookies may go back onto next years Rookie List.
I don't believe their "elevated" status entitles them to say a 1 or 2 year contract, at least until they are nominated for the Senior List.

Isn't it true that a list manager's role is more about the administration side of contracting players? Don't the decisions on their ability and suitability still depend a lot on the coaches' assesments?

Pretty sure we inked Rance to a new 2 year deal.
