Richmond 2017 v Richmond 2019

Subtle but significant transition to skill in ball movement in 2019. Caddy for KMac, lynch for towner, baker and short from half back, Bolton for butler and then there's Stacky and Marlion.

We seem to adopt a gameplan to suit our personnel. Who oversee's these matters? Caracella? If so, we could feel the loss somewhat.

Blx we will find out soon enough!

Another flag chance in 2020, back in the pack or the coaches, Damien & the players are confident/assured enough in the (system) wherher we go B2B! .

I back our players!

But will we change it up a bit with Rance back, kids maturing and demanding a spot and with positional /structure changes.

Soldo has changed things in my eyes.

2017, miss, 2019, ?, ?.
While the kettle is hot!

Every time you look at this question the answer is different. Just don't know who would win.

The 2019 team knows how to win. The 2017 team didn't know how to lose.

Draw

In all seriousness the team that has the better number 4 on the day probably wins

2019 win, the backline in 2019 for mine would have stopped our little forward line everyday of the week. There would have been no panick from our defence like the crows suffered, just a clincal disintegration of hope.

So if the 2019 dismantles the 2017 team ala the way 2017 dismantled Adelaide, would the 2019 then be shot to pieces mentally???

Good point.
Doubt it!

2019 showed tremendous resilience throughout the year in trying circumstances !

Good question there Port.

After 2017 the Tiggers were 100% ready to go again by round one 2018 .....then ran out of steam by the finals.

Next year do we tinker (through choice this time) and build for the run home?
Maybe manage Coch, Dusty, Houli, Jack, Prestia etc
Maybe less games, game time, or rotate on/off ball to let the young fellas do more of the grunt work?

In 2017 the win was unexpected at the start of the season. 2018 we walked through the league and expected to win from day one but fell short. Come 2019 we had serious injury problems for the first half of the season therefore expectations were low but once we saw the team up to strength and gelling in the second, confidence of a result grew to the ultimate conclusion. In my view the 2019 is just about shades 2017

Ha, yes i think so but it wont matter because of the time difference thing that is happening in this thread. Im confused...........

Chris Scott’s head just exploded!
Ping pong balls everywhere!

My head has exploded too just trying to figure this out. :D

(in my case it's deep philosophical thoughts, an Einsteinian understanding of quantum mechanics, and a fanatical devotion to the Pope Tigers, everywhere!)
