Try running without toes, delly.

Let's hope Cogs is cooked, then Freo won't be tempted to take him for Lobb and we can get in on the action and snare Scarlett Taranto.

I dont doubt the difficulty. I've banged my toe into the chair when it's dark and it hurts. Didn't want to run much at the time.

But how has he what is it?
Not many footballers have toe injuries. The bigdoofusmountain had turf toe but I'd understood that to be a ruck curse.
My toes were banged up and black for 5 years past my footylife

Reckon we are in the middle of a shift in list management. Free agency won't be a factor for the next 3-5 years. Big contracts being shopped around, a thing of the past. Players will stay at clubs. Every club now has 2,3 or 4 millstone contracts from before the pandemic that limits the ability to go and get free agents. Until the salary cap settles moving down you will see gap-filler moves. Small depth upgrades. Drafting and development are the keys to improvement leaps. Internal growth is the pathway. Start planning for it.

First I'd heard of his toes, mate, so you won't fond answers from me.

Jakey King was another whose career was ended by a toe.

Short answer is get better on clearance, stoppage & contested ball plus deliver the ball better into a better organised & structured forward line. That’s our summer challenge. Getting everyone fit & staying fit will be key too.

The Hawks are trying to do in 2021 what they should have done steadily over time instead of recruiting O'Meara and Mitchell. And WIngard.

That plan was based on the Fourth is awesome idea.Or the Clarko is deluded idea or both. No way could Hawthorn win a premiership with the list they fielded.

Better tp take the lumps and go to the draft.

Richmond's elites are not finished yet. They have one to two years in them. And if we can add an elite mid and a running/kicking player we may go close again.

If, as Leysy says we can't afford ti add any experienced talent, fair enough. That's still a reasonable strategy. Go to the draft and maybe we can jag one or even two who can improve the 18. If we stay sound we can be real good. And maybe Cotchin and Edwards go very well.

And at the end of 2022 Cotchin is close to retirement. And if we are in rebuild mode. we punt Jack, Shedda and that Cotchin bloke. And we plan the tata for Prestia. It's a legitimate path. But one you would only travel if you couldn't cook the *smile* out of any books tat would land you an elite right now to win one more Preeeemiership.

To win Preemierships you add elites whenever you can. Is there one around?

One more Preeemiership.

Pass the donation can around the group.

Shave 10% off the bigger contracts and parachute a clearance specialist in there.

Do that and we’d all better flak up because the dynasty is back on

They've only got the one, Carts. Mind you, Wingard would be a handy top up. (J.O'M nothing special IMO.)

I think we are in a very difficult position. We have a number of top liners who will leave or decline in the next few years but we also have a great draft hand. However given the reduction in the salary cap we are tight and can’t bring in a lot.
it seems to me that we are drafting hard for the future but hoping we can snag one in the next couple of years. Injuries will make or break us in 2022 because if we can get our best 22 on the park we can give it a nudge. We need Lynch, Prestia and Nank to have injury free seasons. We have shown in the past if we finish top 4 we are very dangerous.
The key for the future is that one or two of RCD, Ross, Dow, Martyn and Ralphsmith have to have break out seasons. RCD is the one for me, clearance player we desperately need but has to develop a tank to go all day.

That's why the hawks needed to get rid of Clarko and should have done it a couple of years ago. His ego wouldn't let them drop and rebuild and left them in limbo

Agree. RCD has shown flashes of being exactly the player we need at centre bounces. Big, strong, powerful, explosive. If he has a big 2022 a lot of our current midfield problems are solved. I still have hope for him. The club made it clear at the start how immature he was & that he’d need significant time in a professional environment. We then had the covid sh!tshow to decimate the vfl for 2 years. I’m really looking forward to what he can bring next year. But I think he still has time beyond 2022. Unfortunately a number of our other champs don’t have that luxury.

Its a huge preseason for Collier Dawkins he needs to improve his tank, he is on the cusp.
If Hardwick plays him in the middle in the pre-season i would expect him to be in best 22.
But we can't have anymore Collingwood games from him.
He ran out if juice after half time and between him and Chol it was who walked the most in that game.
Really disappointing performance and im pretty sure that was the last we saw of him again this year

sums up the dilemma 100% Sinners. I doubt we can snag another but I'm ok with getting one topliner to go one last time in 2022.... but is it too much to pay?
