Stengle

I doubt they give up Ellis-Yolman as a direct swap for Stengle. He's just come off his best season averaging 20 touches, 5 clearances, 5 tackles and 3 i50s a game. I suspect we would need to give up a pick as well. Not a bad option for us though, would more than compensate for the loss of Conca

As a 2nd year rookie he can walk to Crows as a delisted free agent so I wouldnt be expecting much from this scenario.

Maybe a very late future pick?

Not a Rookie and won't be delisted.

I think that was a temporary elevation for a long term injury.

This page suggests he's still a rookie: http://www.richmondfc.com.au/players/rookie-players

I thought that the rookie rules changed this year.

My understanding is that a rookie can play any number of games without having to wait for an injury to occur.

I could be wrong and it 's a moot point anyway as he's gone

That's right, rookies could play AFL games without being elevated etc. 2017, the elevation rule still applied. For 2018, he was a rookie for the entire year.

I think pick 37 is fair ! has been the system for 2 years developing and is ready for senior footy

Big mistake letting him go and keeping Shai. Big mistake.

I don't think it is a case of letting go ,they have offered a longer contract & it happens to be from his home town.

If we wanted to keep him we would.

my left nut is actually an RFC superball,

and I'll stake it that $hai plays 3 times as many AFL games as Tyson.

Slow, small brutally good clearance inside mid I get. Slow, small forward I don't. On the face of it you would have to think Shai has a better chance of making it than Stengle. However like Griffiths vs Vickery, reasonable chance that both will fail to get there.
