How bad is trade week this year when the biggest name is Tom Papley.
He is shhitt.
I hope Silivagni gives up pick 9.
Then he will continue his abysmal record trading players into carlton.
The longer he stays as there recruiter the longer they will be a bottom of the barrell football club.

Whats the record of clubs giving up 2 first rounders for midfielders.
Collingwood treloar. Not worth it.
Beams :rotfl1
Gibbs. Finished. Massive jibber
Shield. 2 first rounders for a bloke that cant kick.
Kelly. Gutless cat. If he thinks he is as good as thinks he is why isnt freo an option?
Because he wants to be behind Shuey Yeo and Kemp.
Geelong should look at freo's offer too.
I wouldn't be giving up 2 first rounders for kelly.

Not fussed by trade week as due to our success.

Would love to see some clubs like Geelong and Bombers get weaker at the players wanting out though.

Essendon are us iof the 80's- early 90's.
Players are running out the door.
Essendon might have to wait another 18 years.

For me it is a different type of feeling. Like how are we going to extend this golden period. Need to be thinking 4/5 years in advance now. What will the side need then.

We are getting so much right can this continue

So true. As Dimma pointed out we have the 10th youngest list so we are in a very good position. The strategy now would be to look at who we lose in a year or four and recruit players with a mind to develop them for a couple of years before they move into the seniors. The great thing is that we look like we are doing just that, and occasionally adding a big signing where we really need it now (Lynch, what a signing!).

So, next 4-6 years we need to be replacing some key backs, mids and one key forward. Of course, we already have players in the VFL who look like they may be able to shift up to AFL and replace our current players in the 29 and over group.

It is such a good position to be in when we can afford a year or to before Collier-Dawkins, just as one example, is needed at senior level. He, and players like him, will hit the seniors with a couple of pre-seasons, good VFL experience and maturity.

Essendon has lost its lustre of long ago.

The drug saga has left a black cloud over the place and a stink within it.

Hird and the Coteries have done massive damage to this club

From the Age today...
Collingwood rookie Sam Murray is in demand with Richmond understood to be considering the 22-year-old defender who played 13 games for the Magpies in 2018 before he tested positive to an illicit substance on match day and received an 18-month suspension. He is eligible to train on December 17 and play from February 17.

I think we should be stacking up on future draft picks in our trades. If we trade out players just make sure we have enough later picks to elevate whatever rookies we need to elevate, keep the 2-3 earlier picks and try and get some 2020 picks.
Insurance for next year.

Interesting to see what he will cost the Swans:

a) because: Dodoro will want 5 first rounders
b) he's been chronically injured for 2 years with no end in sight and
c) he is still contracted.

Daniher has requested a trade, to , the......wait for it.

Swans. Well didn’t see that!
Walked out on the Bummers and Jamie Elliott touring the Lions. Great news for the Scum of the Wood and the Scum of the Don teams.

Thing is the Bombers probably can't go too high as they will keep an unhappy player and he will then leave next year as a FA anyway. They'd get 1 first rounder then, probably somewhere around Pick 10. Pick 5 would be a good deal for them IMO. Do I think they will do this? Not a chance.

I was reading some Bomber fan thought the below would be a great deal for them.

Trade Fantasia to Adelaide for Pick 4
Trade Daniher to the swans for Pick 5 and Papley

:D they are a delusional bunch over there. Papley is twice the player of Fantasia but reckon they can get Pick 4 for him and get Papley as steak knives.

Hang on, might have been the Dodo commenting.

They are indeed what we used to be, each season full of hype & delivering the same rubbish over & again, no Finals wins for 16 yrs next yr...

Cats will be weaker, losing Kelly & thier core is at that 30 age barrier. Caught up with them in the 2nd half of this yr & that will only continue into next yr.
