Everything else seemed ok tonight but that over rule is unbelievable.

We need to see the footage that was clear cut. Umpire called goal.

That *smile* needs to be sacked tomorrow. Can't wait for the BS excuse from the AFL on that one.

says a lot about the stupid over-complication of this games adjudication

No way you could categorically say the vision was definitive, yet overturned. Staggering and completely unbelievable. The goal umpire’s job is to be in the best position to adjudicate on these things and yet he’s overturned by inconclusive vision.

It was only a matter of time before the goal review system cost a team a final. Well here it is. Unbelievable overturn really.

I'm pretty sure the goal review system was introduced so that games wouldn't be decided on the basis of an umpiring error. Umpire errors happen in every sport, at every level, usually on the field. Typically, it would go both ways.

I can't believe that cloudy 2D video vision has determined the result of this game.

Love seeing 50 meter penalties when players don't "stand" because they can't hear the umpire above the crowd. Love seeing goal umpire decisions overruled on non-definitive vision. Nothing wrong here at all.

The Baker advantage reversal and 50m penalty goal was just as bad.

How many goals did Brisbane get from free kicks, 50m penalties, advantages paid, or dubious free kicks up the ground that led to goals?

Borderline cheating.

If that's the highest quality umpires we can muster for an elimination final, then the game is absolutely *smile*.

Can anyone on PRE/AFP see if Robert Findlay received any substantial donations into a Cayman islands account at 10:30 this evening
