Yep, I like Naismith. Nank is a warrior and a great player, but he isn't competitive against the really tall rucks and struggles at times. We need someone like Naismith and I would be happy to see them both play each week.

Would also like to see Ryan develop but that's another issue.

Stroke of luck to lose Soldo and get this guy for free in return.

I hope he does really well and his body holds up. Deserves some luck.

I don't think it's entirely luck, recruiting him, just sayin’.

I agree somewhat, it wasn't a crap shoot.
His performance since being recruited is the lucky bit. Definitely looks AFL level.
A banged up ruckman who hasn't played AFL for over 1000 days and in their 30s getting named for the first match of the year?
What odds we'll find that combo again in the next couple of years?

Yeah! Great stories. His and young Seth Campbell. They just need to be smiled on by karma for a while

Congratulations and good luck to Sam on his first AFL game in 1353 days.
I bet it feels like forever for Sam, but it's nowhere near as long as the over 7000 days Bomber fans have been waiting for a finals win:banana

Ivan Maric said at the pre game function that the club wanted to pay for flights for Naismith's mum to fly to the GC from Gundegai but the AFL wouldn't allow it.

We already knew but the AFL are a bunch or cold hearted *smile*

Based on what that's disgraceful.

Try again for a better game and ground next week for Sam to show.

I thought he was very average.
Didnt give us 1 mark down the line and the only time he couldve impacted the game he kicked the ball out on the full.
