Get Shorty out of the centre bounces He’s no midfielder his best position was off HB
in the centre all he does if he gets the ball is to haphazardly kick it anywhere

Also can’t trust him to win a clearance with strength over the ball. Must play backline or outside.

The 'get ball and throw it on the boot' style of play hasn't been used since the 90s. Sonsie already has more poise than Short when he gets a clearance. Short just isn't a mid.

Promoted to the midfield, with mixed results. Replaced in the backline. Five-year contract so not going anywhere. Not looking a great deal right now. Must be stronger over the ball and more composed with it. Crossroads.

Mixed bag from Short last night.

Don't forget he's only started playing mid halfway through this season. Still learning the craft.

See how meh Drioli was late last year when we shifted him to defense. They even had to demote him to the VFL to learn the role. One preseason later and he's almost AA.

Not saying that Short will have the same trajectory, still very early in his new role.

He's way way too weak over the ball to make it as a mid. Also has sloppy and slow hands in tight. Not sure where we play him.
