I fell into the trap of too many plans and missed catching some PRE'er mates.

Im switching my phone off from 20 Sept until October.

I'll see you blokes at The London at the appropriate hours and at Princess Park.

But my observations from The Gabba.

all the Brisbane fans seemed to be on the upper decks and they got a few moaning soccer chants going early.

But they swirled off on the breeze towards Cleveland.

The Tiger Army was all assembled at ground level and roaring.

I'd lost my voice 10 minutes in, but ran out and grabbed a schooner and gargled it (didnt spit), and pushed through the pain.

The Tiger Army really used the battle smarts we've acquired experientially over the last few years and were very cohesive.

It was a rout.

I didnt hear a single attempted chant un-joined. To put our platoon's cohesion to the test, I even sang an Ian Dury song and substituted Shane Edwards for Clever Trevor, and some more experienced soldiers joined the refrain with unwaivering courage.

'Knock-me-down wiv a feva, Sha-ane Edwards'

And there were very clever campaigners stationed in the perfect pattern, who knew when and what to do to instigate a charge. The only one I didnt join was 'tiger land' with 10 minuted to go, because I just dont sing until the final sirens gone, and the battle was over. I just surveyed the carnage and smiled, and helped a couple of the enemy to their feet.

I even prevented a middle-aged tiger goose supporter from being knocked out by an understated Lions fan in the full bloom of manhood, who was built like Toby Nankervis. I grabbed the enormous Lion by the shoulders and told him

'steady son, we're all tigers here. Hows Dusty hey?'

he laughed and spared the hapless tiger.

But Brisbane supporters were comprehensively outflanked from ticketing through to the final siren and beyond.

In pub afterwards, they all had stupid looks on their faces and didnt know where to rest their eyes.

It was a total demolition on the field and in the stands.
That’s awesome eZyT

Will catch you and the rest at the London or Princess Park (for the VFL GF) for a full rundown....

I love this s**t

As I said during the game the commentators barrack for the story.

At the start of the game, Brisbane winning after a 10 year finals drought was the story. Towards the end of the game the narrative shifted to how good Richmond is, because that became the story.

Grimes faked being knocked over to try and reverse a free kick and sucked the umpire in, saving what was likely a goal at a key moment.
It was clever but clearly staging and he is obviously embarrassed about it now. I suspect he will come out and say something about it. Of course people are going to talk about it. He will cop his whack for a day or two and people will move on. No big deal.

I understand people discussing issues, what I don't get is the 10 or so pages since the siren being almost full of whinging about this stuff instead of celebrating the win. It is almost like some posters can't enjoy footy unless they are complaining about it.

oh we're enjoying the big picture mate, don't worry yourself about that :afro

I was wondering how Jono Brown and Healey would spin a 47point loss to their favourite team...

As their co host Paul Roos would say ..... Here it is!

Bloody lot closer than I thought. ... we just got in by 3 points. .... ffs will we ever get any credit?

I'll bet my left one that Fages n Brisvegas never expected a three point loss at home, nor a forty seven point loss either. What a totally pointless n irrelevant manufacturing of an expected outcome after the fact.

Robbos underling @ herald sun... wonder who he supports when he ain't doing his day job?

◾️ Grimes staging ❌
◾️ Christensen holding the ball unrewarded ❌
◾️ Christensen too high not paid ❌

Four dubious whistles close to goal all fall Richmond’s way. #aflfinals

Obviously when Grub fell over n got the free kick reversal, denying Charlie the opportunity to be a super star. Also when that nasty Shedda smashed the mighty Zane Dorko in the back, causing him to collapse writhing in agony n the maggots refused to penalise us with a free and fifty against Shedda. Cost Brisvegas two very cheap and easily getable goals with their abysmal umpiring.

*smile* head missed Dusty's throw to Jaaaack which got us a cheap goal going the other way. I think the maggots might have missed it too.

And yet we still lost the overall free kick count 22-25.

Interestingly Watson (?) remarked that the holding the ball free to Jack wasn't paid by the controlling umpire (Fleer), but the umpire 50m further down the ground (Nicholls).

Nicholls was of course the umpire abused by the Carlton fan with "You can't handball the ball one-handed, you bald-headed flog!"

Rich was body-tackled and his left arm holding the ball was free. IMO when the ball isn't locked in, the onus is on the tackled player to throw the ball onto his boot or otherwise make an attempt to dispose of it, but it's almost never penalised when they don't. Rich was unlucky based on precedent but all he had to do was pull the ball in underneath him and it would've been a bounce.

They were unlucky with the Grimes reversal, then in the second half Christensen being grabbed high in the forward pocket and the Dusty throw.

As an aside, that kick by Jack travelled over 60m. Caddy's goal in the third also travelled surprisingly far. Did Zorko elect to kick against the breeze after winning the toss?

That is the most ridiculous thing I have seen. Have a look at the position of our shots on goal vs theirs. The majority of our shots were under 30m out( many under 15m) and less than 45 deg. A lot of their shots from 40-50m out and wide in the pockets. And some how the expected scores are that close? I call bull *smile*!!!

Keep it up though. I prefer it us against them! Makes victory all the more sweet!!

How good was that throw? Did you see the way it popped up into Jack's hands giving him time to casually slot the goal?
The funniest part was Jacks reaction after watch the replay of the throw on the big screen:mhihi
