I guess there is humour there if you only look at things from a purely partisan view. Who votes for who is all that matters for many these days and that's the cancer of our society.

What he said was funny at the time and certainly seemed to resonate with many. If he's been sacked now then it is a story, no matter who he votes for.

Hope all the inner-city lefties who paid $75 for one of these now get pangs of regret when they look at it.

The poor bugger had been fighting fires for days on end, his own has house had been damaged.
Morrison had been overseas drinking cocktails, he had also said that volunteer fire fighters shouldn't get paid, because they love what they're doing. He has since backtracked about them not getting paid.
I don't particularly like the guys political leaning, but admire his courage and dedication towards his community. And certainly can understand his rant while working himself to exhaustion.

I see that Jeff Bezos has pledged US$10 billion to fight the effects of Climate Change. Stupid man, doesn't he know that (according to some on this site) there is no such thing.

If he intends to "fight" climate change then he has flushed it down the toilet. If he means "adapt" to climate change - the direction of which is unknown - then it makes sense. Kinda.

Purely partisan? Baloo that is your position, not mine or others as mentioned earlier. And there lies the irony that i read daily on this site and why i remain completely amused.
What you are failing to see here is that the childish/rude behaviour and then support from those with whom the firies act "resonated" with has nothing to do with the cancer of who you vote for. It is about what you personally accept as tolerable behaviour.
Read the article and see the response from the "Scott the Terrible", he is by far a more reasonable person than the lynch mob harrassing him.

No one is denying this guys right to his emotional response at the time, Scott replied in the recent article, he doesnt care either and was more suppotive than anything.
The media used him as a pawn. Alot on this site supported it because it played into the lefts song book, amusing hey.

Sorry, you were the first to somehow equate the firey being a Hanson voter to something funny and something the lefties would react badly too. No one else. That's a absolutely viewing it from a purely partisan standing. But you won't see that because you heard similar on News Corp and you think News Corp are not a right leaning news organisation.

Do yourself a favour and watch The Great Hack. Especially when they say that people refuse to believe it's propaganda because they don't want to admit they've been manipulated.

The old don't let the truth get in the way of a good story trick.
Sure we have our political differences, but could you please stop making things up, there was only one comment about the fireman's rant.

This guy expresses our sentiments best of all.

He's probably one of those dirty Greenies though.

So here we go again........
You think his behaviour was acceptable? Pretty sure you said it above. I dont, never did. But i can understand it and prefer the tolerant response from Morrison over your left and right take on it because I would not use it for political gain as you blindly prefer to.
I raised examples off a News Corp outlet that no one on here disagreed with just provided historical grabs which i too didnt disagree with.
Knock yourself out trying to take me down the path of me being a alt right fanatic.
I remain a humoured poster at the contradiction of some on here.

Probably a fair call, im not reading back though Tigerman because im pretty sure we could find a fair amount of comment to revisit from the bushfire period that has lost its relevance or was extreme in its intent.
What i will finish with is that this site dispalyed the firies sentiment against the federal government with fervor, it was turned political like never before.
