Game Day - Richmond v Geelong Preliminary Final

A lot of Geelong supporters are losing faith in Chris Scott. If they have a poor start to the season the knife will be out to get him.

They still havent got over last years PF loss to us.

Should have, could have but ultimately didnt beat us.

Some Cat supporters i know and also some that continually ring up SEN) whinging still how unfair it was to play us at the G instead of Kardinia Park.

Hang on ... they LOST their Qualifying Final and had to come through the Semi.
By the time of the Preliminary Final, they were coming from a lower position than us and their 1st place (and our 3rd) meant nothing.
The only argument they could have is that the Qualifying Final should have been at the Bowling Alley, but good luck getting Collingwood to play there.
Hardly our problem.

Still sooking 23.

Supporters of a number of clubs are struggling with the idea that their Age Of Entitlement ended on that fateful Qualifying Final day in 2017 when Geelong let the genie out of the lamp.

As long as Richmond is safely locked away, fans of clubs like Geelong can feel like they have a chance. But if you let them out.......

Geelong have no one to blame but themselves.

The more I hear from Geebung supporters the less I like them.

The continued bemoaning of Geelong's missed chances is hilarious. It's like they didn't see Dusty miss a set shot from 20 out straight in front in the second quarter. Or Lynch miss a sitter in the third. Or Jack miss three sitters in the last. Or George miss his usual couple.

They had the edge for a half and got flogged for a half. The margin flattered them.

Yeh in any language it was a pantsing. They scored a grand total of 16 points in a half of football. We played with 21 after losing a player to concussion early in the game. We had a guy crippled with a dislocated shoulder. Dusty was injured early and spent a lot of time on the bench. They kicked goals after both the 2nd and 3rd qtr sirens. Everything went right for them, their better players did well.

19 points is as close as they'll get in a final for the foreseeable future.

They did have more possessions and marks than us, can only assume they use the Fagan theory when assessing football games.

They'll be talking about the 2019 prelim for as long as we were talking about the 82 Grand Final. Difference is they don't have Helen D'amico to blame.

Maybe they need to wait 37 years like we did.

if we only kicked straight in the last quarter, our margin would of been 6 goals plus, that's a thrashing in my books. And Scott would be on his way.
