Have to agree somewhat TM.

I have a feeling both will hang up the boots at end of season win or lose. Jack in particular has lost it and should retire. No way is he the player of the good old days.

Jack will go round again. And despite the criticism levelled at him at different points this year, he still has more than enough to offer.

Cotchin should go around again, but I wouldn't be shocked to see him retire.

What worried me the most is that he's looking like he's playing frustrated. Hate to see him go the way of other greats who start playing ugly because their body can't keep up with their mind.

Goodes is the example I'm thinking of. Chimp isn't close to that yet but I wouldn't want to see him get close to that either.

Crazy post. Can’t believe writing him off playing wise.

Playing as good as ever this season.

Complete over exaggeration both on that and any perceived frustration.

As usual he’ll keep proving people wrong.

No way has Jack lost it! He is playing his role, splitting packs, taking his man away from Lynch. People were ready to write him off last year and he came back kicking 5 in the GF

In many ways Cotch may have had the second best year of his career

High impact, leadership, toughness

An ornament to the game, and Richmond royalty

pfft. no one is writing him off, but if you can't see that he's playing different this year then you probably think Menadue will make it as an AFL player

Don’t think anyone is saying he should be dropped Boozy. But he did have a Barry last night; looked slow and butchered it.

But they all have bad games. Back him to bounce back next week. We need him at his best against an aggressive Port midfield.

Not writing the champ off.
Nor that he is finished.

What some of us have said Re ‘ two more games’ isn’t that he is done.

- he is playing frustrated
-he is trying too much?
-has he lost his pace?
-is he frustrated with hub life? Is it getting to him being away from his ‘family surroundings & support’?
-no one is writing him off. What I meant was Cotch ,’2 more games’ we want from you to bring our 3rd flag in 4 years.’ That’s what I meant.

I reckon Cotch and Nank hold the key to our shot at back2back.

I think Cotchy needs to do a 2017 prelim psycho job.

Obviously, thats exactly what he will do

I will bet my left nut he will lead the way next Friday night. Just cast your mind back to 2017 preliminary final and that tackle on Mumford last years Grand Final. He will drag us over the line.

He had an off night. We still won by 5 goals. And it was a final. Not all that long ago he does that we lose, and it probably would have meant we finished 9th.

All players have a poor game from time to time. Last night was the one for Cotch. He is good enough to bounce back for the game against Port.

And the second half , first contest in the PF final vs Geelong.
That would be awesome to see the skipper , first contest, PF Friday night against PA, the humiliation of that EF against PA where we kicked the wrong way and got smashed that first quarter.

The ‘chimp’ to lead his ‘chimps’ to battle.

Go skipper.

Great call. He will no doubt want to avenge for that Elimination Final loss.

That one tackle looked bad, but there was at least two others which were head high. That's a sign of frustration to me or playing "tough" when he doesn't have to resort to that.

Not sure about the not being very good this season statement. Had a couple of poor to average games but most games good and a couple of rippers. 7 out of 10 year so far. Lead us to a flag again and I will rate his year a 9.5 out of 10!
