Trent Cotchin (Merged)

I had a mate that was hopeless at every sport I saw him attempt. Except he played basketball for the Dutch national team. It was very strange.

Barty runs riot in front of AFL glamour couple

Ash Barty had plenty of support at Rod Laver Arena as she kicked off her tournament in style with a 6-0 6-0 win against Danka Kovinic.

Richmond captain Trent Cotchin and wife Brooke were in the stands, repaying the favour after Barty cheered on the Tigers as they charged to a third AFL premiership in four years in 2020.

Barty presented Cotchin with the premiership cup after beating Geelong in last year's decider, and was seen regularly roaring in the stands during the finals series in Queensland.
Love Ash Barty! She smashing Muchova.
Just went down to the TAB and put a lazy $5,000 on Barty to win...
...easy money baby!

Say it ain't so, Captain Crunch.

Cotch is speculating publicly that 2021 could/will be his last season as the leader of the team.
If it is indeed Cotch's final season as skipper he will certainly be RFC's most successful captain ... particularly with his fourth premiership medallion swinging around his neck. And a three-peat skipper, as well.

Let’s wait and see - I think the question from the media was whether this could be his last year as captain and he said ‘maybe’

The odds are it will be but ‘maybe’ isn’t definitive

Might not be a bad idea to have Cotch as former Captain for his final few seasons, he can be a mentor. If done properly it could work really well.

Would be a brilliant mentor, captained our team through some hard times and now into success.

Getting close is the Chimpman.
I still think Brett Deledio'a captaincy in round 22 2009
Set the club up to what we are today.
And you can't forget Neil Balmes efforts in round 4 1976.
Cotchin has a few in front of him.

***Of course Cotchin is a great captain, he is the best Captain since Dyer.
