Timely. Played really well. He has been playing high forward but it clicked foe him tonight. I think playing more down the corridor probably helped.

Loved his CHF work tonight. Lead up the ground and took his marks. Fantastic effort. Can kick a straight 45 metre goal. Amazing

I’ve been of the belief that we can’t play Aarts and Georgie in the same forward half ( Dimma disagree ) however with Aarts improvement and Graham spending time forward they ar3 making a great hard hitting pressure forward 3 headed monster, going to be interesting to see what impact Parker has on selection there

I told you kids.
play him up the ground and let him come into foward 50.
He loves playing at Optus.
While others were slipping and sliding, George was clean and running on top of the ground.
I had him behind Graham and Martin for BoG
Yep to all of that.
He was named in the best for the Tigers.
Impressive stats too.
3 goals, 18 disposals, 10 kicks, 8 handballs, 12 marks and 1 tackle.
Great to see.

George is Hardwicks get out of jail card when we can’t get our wingers into the game. He pushes George up the ground and it’s no coincidence we then get our running game going. He was crucial in last years GF doing this exact same thing especially when we had to push Macintosh down back.

Only when his performances were below par for a few weeks in a row.
Funny how George’s fanboys were quiet during that time. Obviously had nothing to back him with then. ;) and had to sweat on him lifting his game. Which he did.

Its fair enough to debate the form of a player week to week, month to month, season to season.

But what is frustrating about the debate with George is that so many seem to measure him on goals and possessions.

After all these years of success, some dont seem to realise just how technical and nuanced the roles of our wings and half forwrad flankers are.

Anyway, he played well and got some scoreboard reward this week.
