Now that we are out - who wins it and who do you want to win it?

im pretty comfortable with the vibe of a dees flag.

* Its been a *smile* long time
* I really like Max Gawn, and I think I'll come to like Luke Jackson.
* Trent Rivers is a fine young player
* Clayton Oliver is a rough, tough, *smile*. I like how he plays.
* actually, other than Jake lever, I dont really dislike any Dees (im prepared to give Kosi another chance)
* Simon Goodwin isnt really an arrogant *smile* wit. hes pretty low key.
* they're be deserving premiers; they have a genuine premiership group who are well coached and have had a consistent season.
* they're not doing it with umpire assistance; they're mid table on the free differential.
* they dont have a *smile* home ground that confers a ridiculous advantage.
* I dont think they have any former players in executive positions in AFL house?

sure, we'll have to look at some Dees Premiership stickers on Range Rovers for a few years, but thats better than the other realistic options IMO

Mate - have you ever sat in the MCC members stand at the ‘G during a Melb v Rich game?
I’ve had the misfortune and it is fair dinkum nauseating
While I know plenty of people who are good ordinary Melb diehards - I can’t be generous at all towards those “Go Dees” MCC tosspots

Yep, we're out of contention so let's look at the choice.

Melbourne: I thought their defence was deficient in 2018 and that was where they needed to improve. Credit to them, they fixed their defence. Scoring could be an issue but with Gawn they can get it inside 50 in a hurry. Definite chance. While I like that we are now ahead on flags, Melbourne would be an ok outcome. I know some Melbourne supporters, they have suffered for a very long time so I wouldn't be so upset if they pull it off.

Footscray: defence is their problem and I would have to say I can't see them winning. Their best chance is to somehow starve their opposition of inside 50s, once it gets there they are in trouble. Outside chance. Have never hated Footscray so don't mind if they win it.

Geelong: serious contenders. They are very good although there is the age and injury factors. Clearly on a bit of a mission after last year. You have to say they are one of the favoured teams to win, came very close last year and added a couple of great players. Can't stand the team, can't stand the way that Geelong people seem to be everywhere in the AFL trying to influence things their way. A few of their players I can't stand. Firmly in the ABG camp.

Port Adelaide: seem to have flown under the radar a bit this year. Don't know why but they have been less visible. They are a chance, they can play well. The question remains about whether they can win a few finals away from Adelaide. Don't really like Port much but wouldn't be too fussed. Hard to really hate a team with only 1 flag.

Brisbane: a slim chance. Have not been consistent enough for mine. Not crazy about Brissie, got a fair d1ckhead factor about them, not the worst option but wouldn't be crazy about them winning.

South Melbourne: I think too young at the moment but a slim chance. Play a nice brand of footy. Wouldn't mind them winning, my partner doesn't really follow footy but is a South supporter - I would get sh!t but South winning would not worry me too much.

West Coast: yeah, can't see it. There is something wrong at the club and I really can't see them winning 4 finals in a row. I may have lived in Perth a a young kid but would not want to see them win - too high a wanker factor amongst their fans.

GWS: interesting one this. Coming good at the right time, they really are playing well. Bottom half of the 8 but if any team could win it from there it would be GWS. Fairly relaxed about them winning, they have no fans so little impact.

Essendon: not relevant, it just ain't going to happen. If they make the 8 they will be lucky to get past week 1. Don;t want them to win but relaxed as it just is not going to happen.

So I suppose I'm left with Melbourne, Footscray or GWS as my preferred result.

Yeah GWS winning it would round off the shithousery that has been 2021.

GWS making a big big sound against the Sook's would be amusing I must say.

Watching Scott, Dangerdickk, Shove Hawkins, Rubdown Rohan, and Selduck miss again would be glorious.

GF will likely feature 2 of Cats, Dogs Dees or Swans.

Port need to finish 4th and win their home final or they are no chance of a GF appearance.

Swans can win in Melbourne, against Melbourne sides but the Kochies and Bears cant..

I remember Grand Final week 2019 with all the pro Gee Whiz hype and Big Big Sound sh!t all the contrived and fashioned support levelled against the RFC....................... we shoved it back up em with a candle on it.

So I'm happy for them to have their consolation flag for redemption this year at Geelongs expense.

I don't hate Geelong but I hate Selwood, Shove Hawkins, Rubdown and Dangerflog and Chris Scott.

It would also be fitting for Jez Cameron to get Deledioed by his former mates after walking out on them come GF Day ..................delicious.

But if GWS win then the AFL gets their beloved Premiership so I am conflicted here as a GWS v Sooks GF assures the AFL that their prefferred babies win .

So in that vain I guess I hope the Dogs win.

Nice fairytale for the Demons fans ....we had ours but it might be unbearable.

Dogs for me.
Worst set of big men in the 8. Awful. And a pack of staging cheats. Dislike them only slightly less than the cats. Should not be able to win with spuds like Cordy/Keath and Schache.

More like who I don't want to win it.
Dees, Dogs, Cats, Port, Swans, Lions, Eagles, (Bombers if they make it instead of the eagles), that leaves GWS

I could handle the Giants winning the flag!!!

Team playing best footy atm is GW. Midfield humming. Sam Taylor killing it. Mumford was bizarrely good the other night. 4 games. And they have a total genius on a flank. If he can stay outta trouble. Mmmm. Mmmm. Yeah probably not.
Imma tipping em.
Dees just sooo unreliable. Mental....demons.
Dogs all out attack maybe not premiership style.
Port can win it. Yep.
I HOPE....the Dogs win.

Amusing? Absolutely f***ing hilarious I reckon.

Agree, Geelong the club is not the problem, it is the prize wankers at the club who p1ss me off. When they broke the drought and won in 2007 I was quite happy for them.

Would make me vomit seeing that ducking cheat Selwood up on the dias holding a premiership cup aloft.

And the sycophants of AFL media creaming themselves over Dangerflog winning a flag, and having his arrogant grin plastered all over the papers and the internet. The wank-fest is bad enough over him as it is.

Any team just Not the pussies
YES! Had a Pussy supporter tell me the other day that the only reason they hadn't won premierships and we had is Dusty. They can't be that good if 18 players were beaten by 1. Maybe if Dangerfield knew how to play well in finals.

I would prefer a Melbourne v port Adelaide grand final than any other and would favour the demons in that.
That is not because of any preference for them as clubs necessarily but because they are the two clubs who play a more contested brand of footy left in it.
I don’t want to see uncontested “chip chip” teams win a premiership

Is Danger the only player in footy who is deemed to be deserving of a flag for his individual contributions ? Heard it again yesterday on radio.
Whately I think. Why not just get his HQ mates to give him a n honorary premiership?

I have said the exact same to a Geeflog mate, and he agreed that Chris Scott even makes him cringe
