I don’t think I’ve ever seen PRE more outraged. Jumped on the vfl thread and the anger is palpable.
Last night was the straw that broke the camel's back. We have been *smile* rogered by every arsewipe in the AFL for years; from the administrators to the umpires. That we won 3 flags shows how remarkable the effort to do that is.

We've had enough of this garbage. Last night we lost a game because a Geelong player illegally and arguably deliberately took out our best midfielder. That Geelong player went on to play a dominant role in a 3 point win. We didn't get a 50m penalty as we should have and lost an opportunity to score a goal. Then we were a player down for 3 minutes as we tried to get our concussed player off the ground and Geelong scored a goal.

The umpiring was incompetent bordering on cheating. Double the frees in a 3 point game where both teams go their hardest. They missed so many obvious frees to us but pay everything to Geelong.

The best team did not win due to many factors out of its control (and some in its control but they are semantic). How can anyone not angry be about that result.

Biggest issue we seem to have this season is the run on teams get against us , we have small patches that the opposition seem to kick a bunch of goals

Excuse my ignorance.
I was at the game so maybe it was the Asahis and Mountain Goats speaking but why was Jackmond in the ruck?
We had Nankenstein and Ivan's cousin Ivan.
Surely as someone mentioned Marly would have been a better option.
Just the sight of him with a growling look opposite Stanley or Flogsavs would have done the trick.

Yeh I’m waiting for TBR to go through and sign off on them. He will probably find a few ones missed for the cats.

You mean like Tarrant making frontal contact 20 metres out from goal and not being called?

Of course there won't be any mention of that because the majority on this forum aren't capable of looking both ways.

The sheer jingoism on here lately is so *smile* tiresome, every opposition player and coach is *smile*, every journo is a moron, nobody in any single job in football is competent, everyone hates Richmond. It's pathetic, as is the vitriol you cop when you dare not post like a cheer squad member.

You expect a pro-Richmond viewpoint on a Richmond forum but not the sort of puddle deep crap that is passing for discussion lately.

Life's way too short to wade through such constant negativity and woe is me garbage, and you can only ignore so many people before the forum becomes unreadable, so I'm out, let the good times roll.

I wouldnt be sending Gibcus anywhere, he's proven his worth, one game doesn't define his performances or importance to this team, had an off night, kid will be back next week, shows maturity well above his age and he'll be fine, you dont dent his confidence at this stage and rest him or play him in the Magoo's.

Agree that he plays beyond his years but disagree with your other points, he has had an average month, Beaten by buddy, marshall, so so game v blues and a bad one against cats.
What dent his confidence? geez, you can say that about many other young players. Must reward form in the reserves. Sometimes best to go back to the magoos and refine your game, get a kick etc

I'm getting close to convinced TBR is not a true Richmond supporter. Maybe one of those general AFL followers.
TBH, I just think he's a bit of a XXXX. Someone posted a great post earlier that the older you get, the less time you want to spend with XXXXXXX.

Loves to say we are all one eyed. No we are not. We know our club and our team make mistakes, give away free kicks, players do the wrong things, the club is underwhelming in some areas, etc.

But we also know what's going on in AFL Land. Data like free kick counts dont lie, the game wasnt stopped yesterday - we didnt make that up - some clubs get an easy ride in the media, read posters on other sites and they all say the same re: the 'media', the clubs gifted free kicks etc.

Tiresome is a great word.
I have always liked that word.
I know who I'd apply it to.

Reiwoldt only rucked before Soldo was subbed on.

If you think the umpires didn't bend us over and the media are full of Richmond haters, see ya and don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out.

Yep, why someone would go to a Richmond forum just to troll it’s fans is beyond me.

Yep, some people are just divisive for the sake of it, don't like it when people actually get on and have a friendly, if sometimes willing, discussion. They just seem to like creating discord, there's a word for this . . .

Just lucky I don't have to see it.

I understand your point, but some of Hardwick's recent comments are starting to reveal that even within the club, there is a sense that there is an anti-Richmond campaign from somewhere - and this is people working inside the AFL landscape, like yourself, those who you would think would be less jingo-istic. When asked recently if he was surprised Gibcus hadn't received a Rising Star nomination yet, he replied "He plays for the Tigers".

having a bit of trouble shaking last night
we are a tremendous football team that deserved to win
for the players to recalibrate the way they did after Dion was targeted was something else
their heads must've been spinning

Geelong are lowlife, they are coached by a fraudulent stuck up pig
deep down they know what they are, and that's what matters
the squirming by Scott last night and Zac Tuohy today is proof
there's nothing like a bad liar

There's nothing unusual about body checking a player in that situation so they can't run on to the next possession, it was the raising of the elbow that was the unusual bit and I think he has just done that without thought. Personally I think the idea he said I'm going to line this bloke up and go bang is more ludicrous, no player has done that for a very long time.
Gee TBR, I'm watching the incident on loop and to me he absolutely lined up Prestia and said I'm going to cause some damage here. To knock him out? probably not but the intent to cause damage was definitely there.

What I find ludicrous is you suggesting it is ludicrous that he would line him up and go bang. Why not? Been done plenty of times before. In another post, you said that Stewart wouldn't have known what he did until a second after it. Please TBR...that's the biggest load of rubbish you've ever written, right up there with the free was there in the Sydney game when Rioli brushed past the Swans player at a boundary throw in.

Funny...you are furious when I Richmond player does something undisciplined, yet you give this dog a pass out??

It's not a MENSA forum TBR, it's a footy forum with Tiger supporters from all walks of life. Do some people talk crap? Absolutely but there is more great, passionate discussions than crap on here.

I was totally frustrated coming home last night, but it's good to have PRE where you can go and vent if you like, rather than kick your cat or worse.

Why are you telling us you're out? Just leave, or are you expecting an outcry of sympathy?
