Look I hope in all sincerity that this is a real kick in the guts to him and his ‘brothers ‘ stick tight with him , encourage him, have honest conversations….. and the Tigers give him one last shot.

I worry for the kid going back to WA.

Anyone know if he is still in Melbourne?

Seems odd to me that Stack wasn't given another year. Maybe there were more behavioural issues. Or maybe it was just clear that he would never had the desire required.

Someone who claims to know a friend of Stack’s said on BF that he’d packed up his place in Melbourne and gone back to WA.

Lack of desire I'd still a behavioural issue anyway isn't it? Just a different type of issue.
Lots of very talented players who don't want to do the work or just don't want to be that professional (restrictions on lifestyle etc).
Stack is just another one. Sad. I loved watching him play.

He's definitely in Perth. Taking photos of his shoes in a car today. Riveting stuff.

What I can deduct from various reports and social media is that he packed up his belongings and moved everything back to Perth at seasons end. Hence no show at the B&F.
It appears that he either cracked the sads and quit, or was told much earlier that he was unrequired for next season.

Had an interesting discussion with a friend today who is also a Richmond supporter and he has another view

My mate believes it was not Richmond but stack that left richmond , He believes after the season was over Stack packed his bags and went west and doesnt give a cap what Richmond do and if they delist him and another club picks him up he would be better off and if not would easily earn what he did as a Rookie in the WAFL

Could explain the earlier posts about him vacating his premises after the season and not attending the B & F

His shoes are very very important . Time to move on from Syd . Most on here are trying to put a square peg in a circle ⭕️. It’s not going to happen . Clearly hasn’t got the application to do the hard yards . He won’t get picked up by another AFL , why ? Not worth the risk !

I hope the penny drops. Never in my life have I barracked for a player after they have left Richmond - but I will be hoping Stacky gets it together. He is an AFL level talent coming from an incredibly tough upbringing...and whilst it may never happen, it may also just take him more time than most.

If Sydney Stack is “not worth the risk” tell us who is?
Bet you said exactly the same thing about Stengel.

I think it speaks to culture. If you reward someone who doesn’t meet the standards then can have a pretty negative effect on the rest of the group.

I’m sure you can think of examples in your own workplace.

His dad's gripe on FB was that he hadn't been told anything.

Good luck to him found a club that backed him up and gave him chance after chance it's a 2 way street, and he showed season after season commitment wasn't there.

The WAFL's salary cap isn't very much, it's less than $300,000, could probably make more money playing bush football.

Everyone got Stengle wrong who said he wasn't the one to keep. But that happens. I am usually more wrong than right.

Stacky is probably going to be the same. We gave him one or two games and didn't select him when he was playing well. No wonder he took his ball and is off home. From his side he probably feels alienated.

Always two sides to a story. Just have to trust the club and move on. It's not like we haven't lost players that end up being AA or premiership players before is it?

People seem to forget that Stengle was on Adelaide’s list after playing for us and before going to Geelong. Stack might be the same and take a while to find his spot.
