Thank you.

At pick 30 the Saints choose Max Gruzewski, a local lad so hopefully he,ll stay!

193cm/84kg
21/7/04
Oakleigh Chargers/Vic Metro
Key defender/forward
August ranking: 27

Every player needs at least one weapon to be picked by an AFL club, and then to make it at the level. Gruzewski's is his marking, which has been on show throughout this year despite an injury absence mid-season. He showed it last week for Vic Metro, too, when the versatile key-position player flew high and took a massive hanger in the front half and slotted the goal. Gruzewski can read the play well, be used at both ends and grabs it when it comes his way.

sorry for delay folks.

pick 31 Carlton selects Anthony Munkara, 186cm, 77kg. Allies/ West Adelaide/ Tiwi Bombers. Forward

Talented, fast, x-factor everywhere, and is not just dual-sided, but ambidextrous. Risky pick, but we're willing to take it. We need X-factor. (off the record, Bonus of this pick is it pisses off Dudoro).

Pick 32 Fremantle picks Jed Hagan. 175cm 73kg, WA/ East Fremantle/ Brigades Hawks (Geraldton). Midfielder/ utility

We are rapt he got through to us, we rate him highly, was first brought to our attention by sometime interstate, sometime local scout eZyT who has been a fan since u15s. Hard worker, hard runner, competitive beast. Great elite junior career and proven at WAFL senior level. We are sick to death of the Vic boys go home factor to be frank, so its an added bonus we have a WA boy we rate at this pick. We are also aware of the Liam Baker comparisons, and won't get fooled again.

GWS @spook up next.

Melbourne
33. Charlie Clarke.
182cm quick, goal-kicking forward who kicked 29 goals in 15 games for Sandy while averaging 18.6 disposals and 3.4 tackles. Showed his ability to deliver on the big stage with strong finals performances and was good for Vic Metro too. Some midfield potential. Pretty good consolation prize after mising Konstanty.

Western Bulldogs Pick 24. Jacob Konstanty - Gippsland Power (VIC)

The exciting aspect of Konstanty is the fact he's relatively new to football and has previously plied his trade as a round ball footballer, something which is evident when observing his agility & ability to wrong foot the opposition & also bob up to create scoring opportunities. His scoreboard pressure is immense and despite the fact his conversion numbers aren't off the charts amazing, he's very much an opportunist who will find himself involved in plenty of scoring chains & generally finds himself in the thick of the action. Konstanty's overall production is also good for a small forward, his ability to join the midfield rotations means you will get double digit disposal numbers to go with the manic pressure he provides. Averaging 6 tackles a game with a high of 14, Konstanty is a prototype modern small forward and opposition players will inevitably find themselves backed into corners which more often than not leads to turnovers. Given the bar is being raised by the likes of Stengle for the small forward role I think pick 24 is fair weight for the best small forward in this year's draft class.

bargain. He's gotta be mid to late first. Late first is still a bargain IMO.

That came around quick!

Saints are gunna for a ruck (the good thing about picking for the Saints is that they need every type of player!)

Harry Barnett:

SNAPSHOT: “A physically developed ruckman who uses his athleticism to have an impact at the contest and around the ground.”

Harry Barnett has put forward his case to be the number one rated ruck prospect in this year’s draft class. He enjoyed a dominant stretch through April-May in the SANFL Under 18 competition, where he averaged 24 disposals and 28 hitouts, earning a call-up to West Adelaide’s League side. The 18-year-old managed 25 hitouts on debut, and earned his first win at senior level in Round 17 against South Adelaide.

After missing his state’s opening game of the AFL Under 18 National Championships with COVID, Barnett assumed the primary ruck mantle and was a consistent contributor for a somewhat disappointing South Australian side. His performances were enough to earn a starting spot in the All Australian side, as the primary ruck choice.

Measuring in at over 200cm with a handy leap, Barnett can get up and over the opposing ruckman with relative ease and his strong build makes him difficult to move at stoppages around the ground. His contested marking makes him a valuable commodity in both attack and defence, and although at times unpredictable, he has flashed some ability when wheeling onto his right boot and distributing the ball by foot.

Scoop has already picked him at 25 for North.

Whoops, sorry, thought I’d checked the previous picks!

take 2:

Max Knobel

35. St Kilda - Max Knobel - Gippsland Power (VIC)
The son of former AFL ruckman Trent, Max Knobel is a late blooming ruckman who has continued growing this year. Now standing at 206cm, Knobel is a project player who is still growing into his body but is developing rapidly and has a knack for getting to the right positions behind the ball to take intercept marks.
