Game Day - Tigers v Blues

Full credit to Miller in the final stages.
He saved our bacon.
Keeping the ball live and not running to the boundary.
A throw in and subsequent stoppage would have enabled Carlton to shut down.
As Dimma said, Carlton had done their homework on potential rebound, with an arc of five players.

Interesting vision shown about Baker leaving Acres in the last 17 seconds and running towards the middle.

Luckily Acres couldn't mark otherwise this could've been another small loss to us. Did Dimma tell Bakes to leave his man??

No coaches votes for McKay.

Is Balta one of the 6 from 46 players ?

Maybe Miller should get a vote for being the one to keep McKay to the 1 solitary disposal and mark in the last quarter after McKay had accumulated 12 and 9 in the first 3 quarters.

Astute move by Hooch and Truck. Might have been the key to saving the game.

Mark Robinson running a survey on whether Baker should have left his man and run in to influence the centre clearance.
Was almost an unmitigated disaster and hope the club reviews it strenuously.
Acres dropped a mark he should have easily taken and we would have lost the game.
Wonder whether Carlton employed the same tactic and sent their defender in?

Surprised with the votes for Prestia. Thought he was quiet.
Shows you how people can have very different opinions after watching the same thing.
Coaches always know best though
Had a massive third qtr n helped get us back into the game.

Are you definite that Miller played on McKay the entire last quarter. I thought it was only for a short period.

I'm watching the replay now. First quarter, McKay takes a contested mark 80m from goal. On Miller. Balta was deep and competed in the next marking contest when McKay sent the ball in.

McKay takes a mark on Balta (again) with 16.15 mins remaining in the last quarter. Shortly after that Docherty kicks a goal from a set shot.

Hooch has clearly seen enough so after the centre bounce with 14.48 mins remaining Miller is now moved onto McKay.

Miller keeps McKay possession-less for the rest of the 14.48 mins remaining in the last quarter although Balta takes him for one moment with about 8.15 remaining where it looks like we had to flip Miller back into the ruck for a short period.

Well done Miller. Good move Hooch.

Superb debut by Tim.
The only concern I noted was that sometimes he left himself blindsided, with the potential to be KO'd, from behind by a dirty hit.
Hop has more spatial awareness.
When Dusty is in a potential collision, ie sliding on the ground, he extricates himself very quickly.

My useless observations… Worked super hard, not super smart going inside 50.

Rub of green went with Carlton imho , that happens

Going into the game I thought the dangers were Weitering on Lynch, thought Toms form was very encouraging, -McKay , Balta did ok , I think getting Taz back will only help Balta , -Cripps , played well , however I think we did a better job of quelling his influence, CC , reckon old man Grimes did a pretty good job .

Im still of the belief we need to ad class I.e Clarke, Sonsie in favour of the Mansell types .

Ryan is a must in favour of Miller or Jack

Super high pressure game , probably should have got the points by taking advantage of our forward entries, however not bad form starting the year.
I’m aligned. Watching the game again, I felt we should’ve blown them away. We dominated at times without reward. A slight tweak to entries and/or personnel this week should deliver a step change improvement.

No risk no reward. You’ve got to roll the dice to win. I don’t mind them trying to win it.

You may not need to risk that much risk to win the game. If they wanted quick representation around the ball the wingers are just as close? Get them to fly in, doesn’t expose us at the 50m line for Carlton!

The club knocked back Daisy Pearce from entering the change rooms.
Because she works at another club
