If Broad is back - reckon Mansell unfortunately misses. Personally would keep him in but who to drop? Short? They won't drop Short.
If McIntosh is back - reckon Ralphsmith unfortunately misses. Personally would keep him in but who to drop?
Strange that we've had a poor season but finding it hard to drop players.

Fair enough their home game could backfire the Tige's haven't actually rocked the G this year so might be to our advantage ;)

Fair enough in the sense that this is GWS's home game. But our home game earlier in the year against GWS was at Docklands so the argument does lose some credibility.

Reckon the way we’ve been going at the MCG this year, not fussed about playing elsewhere. One thing though - centre clearance will be at a premium.

Caesar or anyone else who knows. Just wondering what has happened with Marlion. Haven't heard mention of him since that debacle over in the west losing to WCE. Has he stayed over there? Where is he and is something going on with him?

Plus with this game coming up, surely GWS are not still training at PRO since they are locked out of NSW still. Anyone know where they have based themselves now? Saw some training footage on 7News tonight; not PRO but couldn't quite identify which ground.

The GWS backline functioned beautifully on the weekend. It's a great shape with one dominant tall (who is elite at ground level) supported by Cumming, Idun, Haynes (all good in the air, very mobile, and ground ball players). The other tall, playing The Plug, Stein is very mobile, if inexperienced.

Whitfield was awesome at halfback and Ward spent time back. Great set up. If they change it Davis could come in for Stein. But he has to stay out of the way. He can play The Plug.

NB the GWS backline was under 61 I50s and thrived. And Tomahawk gave up some time in the second quarter. He was unmercifully flogged by the emerging Taylor who is not a myth.

Ins for them in the backline - perhaps Davis.

They're saying Hogan will be right. He's in for Riccardi who was useless last week. A big lift for them.

But somebody like Lloyd or Reid will be in for Toby Greene. And Callum Brown is out. He was lively. Gave them some desperately needed energy.

Out Greene, Brown, Riccardi. In Hogan and perhaps Lloyd, Reid.

J W Kelly will is in, they say. Maybe Hopper. Daniels was awful for an hour last week but good after that and he was buzzing. And Peatley battled.

They shed energy for reputation with these changes. But improve in class.

It's a shame Michael Green's grandson can't play. That would bring them fully back to their Geelong-style stodgy midfield.

In each case the changes will make them stodgier and rob them of the much needed vibrance they were beginning to discover.

Out Daniels and perhaps Peatley. In JWK and perhaps Hopper.

If Hill is fit that would help GWS.

Vibrance, eh?

Is it too late for them to somehow finangle Ben Lennon onto the list?
