Dustin Martin

Exactly.

A star. Look at extending his contract long term.

Sometimes, I don't want to be critical but those bananas, try on the left please!

Agree though, the best don't argue in the business.

There are imitators but Dusty the don't argue specialist. Took 3 to bring him down Friday at one occasion but beat all others.

The club should really start producing t-shirts to capitalise on it. In hindsight we should have known what an absolute beast we had on our hands when he rag dolled Lumumba and Firrito in consecutive weeks in his first season as a teenager against older hardened, experienced opponents.

Definately, the don't argue with Dusty message should be plastered everywhere.

A smart coach would analyse Martins don't argue technique and and set up specific training drills for his players . Similar to tackling drills you would train your players how to brush off tackles. It's mainly technique and timing.

Anyone here a regular ABC 774 Coodabeens's listener? I really like the two 'footy songs' segments with Greg Champion at around 10.20 & 11.20 am. One thing is though, there's just not enough songs about the Tiges!

So with that in mind, I have sent in a ditty about Dusty, set to the music of that old favourite 'Hang on Sloopy'. Dusty picked himself, so to speak... so much to write about with the champ!

Of course it's up to Greg as to if and when it gets played, but in the interests of our supporters, I'll keep the fingers crossed... :)

For a while early on opponents tended to grab his no arguing hand and hold on for dear life often resulting in an incorrect disposal against Martin. Not sure whats changed that they don't try it anymore. Or maybe he's just a lot stronger and quicker these days

bit part of it for me Baloo. he is very strong which of course helps the don't argue. he rarely goes to ground. most other players in the team don't come anywhere near his strength and struggle with the don't argue. Harry has a point as well, some kind of training with it can't hurt.

It was like he wasn't even playing. One of the worst games he has had to be honest. Any chance of playing the best one on one player up forward Dimma?

Gee whiz.... He is getting exposed for pace and endurance in the midfield as the game opens up, he just has to be played like Riccuito was. This makes no sense.

No doubt Martin would have been distracted by his father's deportation during the week, but the lack of quality support around him will also highlight some of his deficiencies, pace being among them.
His inconsistent attitude over the years seems to be an underlying pattern and concern.

I thought his effort was ok just couldnt get int it. Does not seem to want to have a shot from outside 50 any more. Whereas the Crows...

I'll bet he was crook. Looked weak and struggled to get any power.

His dad was deported during the week. Not making excuses but he didnt seem his usual self.
