Dylan Grimes JDM

Very rarely beaten the champ but Zuurhar gave him the biggest bath I've seen since he had his hands full with DeGoey 4 years ago.

Apparently Zuurhar is out of contract. Geez I hope we are one of the clubs in his ear.

Zurhaar will be in the sights of Collingwood and Essendon I reckon, hopefully the Tigers look at him or Simpkin.

Grimes to be fair has not had his best season, he's had a few good games but on the most part he's been off the pace a tad.

Dan Rioli and Broad the best defenders all season re consistency and performance.

Was that performance a chance to sell himself to us? Doubt he'd leave especially with Noble gone and a chance to see who his next coach is.

Grimesy has been my favourite player for a decade but the past two weeks have seen uncharacteristic basic errors from the Champ.
Bit concerning cause not used to seeing it. I hope the pressure of captaincy isn't getting to him.

I think back to when Rance was injured & he admitted he was struggling mentally because he was trying to be like Rancey & do it all.
No doubt there's an element right now where he's trying to be an inspiration to his team mates too. Especially for the he younger ones but I once again wonder if he's trying too hard.
Needs Emma Murray here again to just get him back to staying in the moment & focus on the basics of his own game.
If he tightens that up it will build confidence in others. Come on Grimesy we need your best again here.

Letting tough but uncontested marks slip though his hands cost us again tonight. Need the real D Grimes to return.
Yeah it’s so uncharacteristic of his last 5-6 years and just hard to watch. He’s fallible after all.
I guess time just does its thing

Cost us the first goal also punched it to a Docker in board instead of towards the boundary. An all time favourite but is hitting the wall

We can't punch period in our defence.
I've lost count how many attempted punches have ended up in goals for the opposition.
Against Geelong twice..GC the Chol goal and last night wasn't any better.
Compare Freo's defenders punching the ball through for a behind compared to us.
Broad always misses it,
Grimes punches it but hasn't got enough juice to go through for a behind.
And Miller & Cibcus jump for the fun of it.
Grimes looks like he isn't in love with playing. It wouldn't shock me he pulls the pin at years end Astbury style.
Grimes never drops marks, Grimes always knows where his player is, Grimes plays the percentages, he isn't this year.
He has done a 'Richmond' Awareness hammy now, how long 3 weeks or is that it??

Seems that Grimes went into the game injured after going off last week. Rolled the dice an lost out. It didn't look good.

Doesn't sound like awareness.
Dimma not at all bullish in the presser about Dylan.
Also not that positive about Dustin hammy.
