GAMEDAY: PF 2020 Port v Rich

Astbury on Dixon. Balta on Ladhams. Grimes on Gray. I like our chances there. Vlas to set up in front of Dixon.

Think you're right TT, when Ladhams rests forward Balta takes him and rucks when Ladhams does only when Nank needs a break. Lycett has kicked 1 goal in 2020 so don't think we need to worry about him forward, (famous last words).

Here is what he said...

Lynch) obviously gets caught up in the emotions of the game a probably a bit more frequently than others do,” Hartlett told Adelaide radio station FIVEaa.

“I guess others are able to control their instinct and reactions perhaps on their emotions a little bit better than what Tom does.

“I think there’d be plenty of people out there who would like to see his season come to an end... I’ll leave it at that.”

It will either back fire on them or will give our boys enough incentive to ‘get the job done’.

A lot of talk coming out of their camp.
We have to be prepared that they will target our ‘guns’ to get under their skin . There will be plenty focus on our players and the umpires have just got to the umpire the game. Pay what’s obvious and not be sucked in to what PA tactics will obviously be.
We got to be disciplined and not be giving 50 metre penalties .

Scoreboard pressure is what I want from our players.

I reckon Hardwick has won the mind games and if the Adelaide media are talking GF tops as suggested then we have a massive massive advantage.

Get them all fired up to go the man while we play the ball really hard and the result will take care of itself.

You know, early in the week I was seriously worried about this game, thought we would be lucky to survive a shellacking (which touch wood could still happen), but I am now quietly and strangely at ease, a bit like last years prelim to be honest (although it’s much more relaxing going and watching live).

I am quietly confident it’s ours to lose, not the other way round and we all know the result of that other final where one team had an unbackable home ground advantage.

the key to tonight is us holding our discipline. Port can’t beat us pound for pound, so they will try to ruffle us up in the hope we retaliate. It worked in R11 and worked in the QF. Hamish Hartlett set the tone yesterday by having a bit of a crack at Lynch on Adelaide radio. Port hope Lynch retaliates on the field tonight. We hope he cracks heads and kicks 5 goals. Its a pretty fine line between them both.

Dimma did a great job of owning our aggression in the media the other day, but we still need to direct it in the right way. The great Brisbane teams were extremely aggressive, but always played the ball, not the man. We are on the verge of joining that great Brisbane side if we win tonight. But we need to play like them to achieve it.

Many of us still have scars from the dark years. I know i do.

Balta to conduct psychological warfare by ripping his own top to shreds moments before the opening bounce; spooks Dixon who then doesn't take a mark the entire game.

Quietly confident.
We are more of a journey side.
Hence we don't get sucked into the byplay.
Let them talk all they want.
Just another step in our journey in what is a weird year.

Snake is on location in the red light district, deep behind enemy lines.

He just had a coffee with Tom, dylan, george and kmac.

In snakes words 'they seem exceptionally relaxed'

Surprised at the amount of talk coming out of Adelaide. Beavis opening verbal volley seems to have hit a nerve and looks to have Port focusing on the wrong thing.

No doubt they'll come out hard in an attempt to back up their talk. He just need a couple of early sidesteps and goals to seed doubt into their feeble little minds.

Their psychological warfare consultant, Kane Cornholio, is so busy that he's taken the day off his morning radio duties.

Can't see anything in the media for Cotchin's 250th apart from what is on the RFC site. Let's stick it up Port and the AFL and the media.

jack to kick a bag while the rest of the port players worry about 'upsetting' tom

good luck with that .....

so much pressure on the pt players coach and club .their focus has shifted to 'upsetting ' 1 player instead of focusing on 'playing'

they have lost this game already!!

Pi$$ weak club!!
