Age should always be the last suspected cause, not the first.

That’s the lesson here IMO.

Great to see Jack shutting up his detractors.
Cornes wont give him any praise, he'll be waiting for Jack to have another quiet game.
Never knock a champion Cornes, you were just a run of the mill, dime a dozen tagger, who would've loved to have had the ability and footy smarts of Jack.

The “5 minute fireman”. Selfish little prick, he was all about himself. Got to 300 games and promptly retired midway during the season. He wasn’t even missed. Now he’s just trying to find some relevance by being “click bait corn hole”

Meanwhile Jack is the consummate team man. True professional who will be remembered as a star

Not enough made about his start to the season. Would be close to leading the JDM.

Last night was the 16th time in his 19 career games against Geelong West that he's kicked 3 or more. He's kicked more goals (60) against them at a better average (3.16) than against any other club. They've never held him goalless. No wonder the mouth-breathing sister-rooters hate him.

Can we clone him?

He is underrated by many. He is close to kicking 700 goals. Not bad for a half forward.

Love him hes far from done.

Going better than he has for a while.

He admitted last season he had checked out mentally over the Covid BS and had given the season away especially with home duties as a dad.

Took him a good deal of time to wind back up.

His slow year was more related mental application not physical.

Brilliant game. Can’t believe most goals he has scored after five rounds ever.

The comparison conversation with Plugger was insulting. I was just thinking how many bags did Plugger kick in a GF?

He only played one. Kicked 6 in a losing side.

I don't think they were insulting Jack, more expressing just how incredible Plugger's numbers are. Five or more goals 145 times. Unreal.

Different times of course - higher scoring and less sophisticated defense, but still. Acknowledging Plugger as the GOAT full-forward doesn't detract from what a champion Jack is.

What was the point of it? Where did the talk come from? Was it Lockett's birthday or something? Was just annoying and completely irrelevant.

One of them must have got a whisper from a producer that Jack's next goal would give him exactly half Plugger's career tally, and they were gobsmacked at the difference given Jack is a triple Coleman Medallist. It was a tangent in a one-sided game about how incredible Plugger was, using the modern champion in front of them as a reference point.

Jack had hit the half way mark of pluggers goal tally. Agree completely irrelevant. Probably came done to the fact that the commentators were talking *smile* after quarter time because they won’t gush over Richmond unlike any other team that is smashing the opposition.
