certainly agree that we shouldn't blame Aarts for this loss , it was a team effort !!!
the daggers have been out for George & Aarts for some time and its times like these that shines a white hot spot light on them
the 2022 version of George is getting way less possessions , tackles , frees for , scores and 1%'ers per game than the 2017/18 version of George
and his extremely unorthodox set shot routine I think just brings it all to a head , the majority of posters here just get the sense , regardless of the role he's playing , just doesn't seem to bring enough value to the side
Aarts has always been and will always be a bit player , thats cool , we need role players , foot soldiers etc
if the ball lands in his hands what are the chances he'll do something ok or better ?
I think the answer most will agree with here is disappointingly low
He is constantly labelled as too slow and a poor decision maker at this level
and at his height contested marking is off the table
has he had enough opportunities to accustomise at the level ? Yes
given his age and experience does he have improvement in him ? No
Does he knock the door down at VFL level ? No , Antony Miles and Sam Lloyd knocked the door down in the VFL , Aarts plays well but doesn't rip it up
He will have no trade value so I believe we take the pain and play Dow , Stack , RCD , MJR , Clarke as a small forward
