Might have been able to wear Adidas in 64, but they sure as hell weren't wearing them style soccer slippers as footy boots way back then.View attachment 11596They could've wore them in 1964
I assume you mean Brian Dixon who I believe was the last vfl/AFL footballer to be a sitting member of parliament whilst still playing footy?Melbourne are going into the game unchanged from their 1964 Grand final line up.
With Hassa Mann going into the centre and Graeme Dixon moving to the wing.
Fun fact, Adi Dassler and his brother started the original shoe company but had a big falling out. Adi started Adidas and his brother started Puma. But it was Adi’s son Horst who made Adidas the biggest sports brand in the world by pushing athletes to wear Adidas shoes for a few $$. There was a time when nearly every gold medalist at the Olympics wore Adidas.Might have been able to wear Adidas in 64, but they sure as hell weren't wearing them style soccer slippers as footy boots way back then.
Just had a quick squizz at Mr google n old Adi fired up as far back as 1924, after WW1, then had a come back after WW2. Been around a while making footwear n other sports gear.
Agreed. In those days it was more likely to be a Jenkins being worn. That might be 70's or 80's footwear. Sure as *smile* ain't 30's or 40's boots. Not sure Adidas was even invented way back then.
Didn't know old Jerker had a footwear business.Agreed. In those days it was more likely to be a Jenkins being worn.
*Baker's mullet intensifies*
