Pick 63, 2017 Ben Miller - Welcome to Tigerland.

Funny how the mind works.

I was thinking why bring Miller in?
We've got Tazz and they've got no talls with King out.
Had completely forgotten about Marbs/Casboult.
Don't associate them as Suns players.

So Miller/Marbs, Tazz/Casboult?

Yep and Broad can take Day I reckon. Grimes can float / intercept and take their most dangerous small (maybe Ainsworth now with Rankine out).

GC have brought in the 197cm Sam Day as well.

Way less bullish than most on our 5th year, 198cm back flanker. For all his considerable physical attributes, he rarely if ever shows them in a game and while he’s started finding much more of the ball at VFL level, I would still describe his contested work as tentative at best.
he gets a perfect match up this week against a 7th year 200cm forward pocket, against whom no contested work is needed.

A project player 5 years in the making for exactly moments like this.
VFL form has been really good & he deserves his spot.
Just hope he can get the job done today.

Been very solid in the VFL but, as a previous poster confirmed, getting credited for a disposal for taking kick outs pads his stats somewhat.
Beating his man should be his objective today

Got caught out a couple of times as did Grimes but saw enough of the good side of Ben to want to see him get a run in the firsts. If we bring back Gibcus then it should be as a forward as Lynch is injured again

Would it be poor form to quote my own posts in this thread? Asking for a friend.

Miller was considered very athletic when we drafted him.

Really not sure the body on body role is a good fit here but not convinced he reads the play well enough to play with Morse space.

Really seemed to lack strength tonight.

Thought he showed enough tonight to keep persevering with him.
He’s a player who hasn had a continuous run at AFL and until he does we can’t work out whether he’s AFL standard
