I was in the US for the last couple of weeks. Still haven't watched the Grand Final and quite frankly doesn't interest me much

Spoiler alert, Bear!

That game was still in the balance until late in The third quarter. Dogs were three goals up halfway through the third so the finishing margin was crazy

The way I see it - whatever the two teams might be in any Grand Final - the highest TV audience would be for a night game. Next best would be a twilight game and lowest for the day game.

Now the TV audience should never be the sole basis for changing - but it has to be a factor. In particular I hate seeing the Rugby League GF audience being higher than the AFL as it distorts the true following of the two sports and then probably to some extent affects the TV contracts earned by each.

FWIW - I’d take a twilight GF in a heartbeat.
