Wow, nearly 3.5 years between Adelaide and the Dogs. What's the historical record of a team that much younger than its opponent, L2?

Dogs being so young all year bodes well for their future, ditto Swans and even Saints.

Surely you don't think that the Dons can win tonight. I know you said by some miracle, and that's what would be required.

It's the youngest Essendon team for three years, when they were in the doghouse. Although that team somehow managed to beat Carlton.

The record is 5.51 years for Sydney/GWS in R1 2013. Over three years is fairly rare, happens every 49 games on average. It's the second one this year after Hawthorn/Gold Coast.

Record for 3.29+ is 150 - 33 - 2 (82%).

Not sure why people will think Balta comes in for Chol?
The MC are not going to make drastic changes to the team.
We are in full finals mode. Only changes will be forced or to make way for Cotchin and Nank.
Put me on ignore after that comment.

How has Balta been since back in the res's?
Both he & Chol showed glimpses in the A's but neither proved better then the other IMO. Not sure either plays past KMac's experience.

Disappointed for Ross to lose his spot.
Wondering if he might still play on the weekend, particularly if Grimes is not fit enough.
Or has Ross been dropped out of the list of emergencies also??

Dimma did say that in his pre-training presser but also said that Grimes would train today and they would assess after, (he sort of baulked at the journo's question does he have to pass a fitness test). Now what I saw you wouldn't call training but maybe that is all he was asked to do, and the reason he didn't affirm a fitness test to journo because it would be construed as a fail?
Think they are just keeping him off the ankle as much as they can.
Francis Bourke not lurking near the race to jump on him and land on his ankle?.
