R23 team changes v Brisbane

you're kidding, right? Top 4 is at stake. Grimes has to play. Cameron has been destroying teams and we have the player who can silence him. We have the bye after, he can recover then. I would only rest him if Collingwood lose.
Grimes could silence Cameron with two fit ankles bit not with only one and it's his kicking leg that's dodgy. A fully fit Balta is probably as effective as Grimes on one leg but maybe not put Balta on Cameron. Remember when Jack R. rolled his ankle? Up like a balloon, did not miss a game and not very effective for a few weeks. Gives us a chance to try someone we may need if we lose either Grimes or Astbury for finals.

You’d think Balta must be in for Chol, especially considering the tall timber (McInerney (205cm), Hipwood (204cm), & McStay (195cm) added Grimes is the only viable matchup for Cameron which reduces the available KPD stocks by one... This leaves Astbury (194c) v McInerney, Broad (192cm) v Hipwood, & Vlastuin (187cm) v McStay...

In spite of our backs playing very well (Vlastuin, Baker, Edwards, Houli, Short) I fear that one day soon our lack of height will be exposed and it could be this Sunday. I'd bring in Balta and keep both Soldo and Chol in.

I like your thinking but who goes out? This is our current issue, although it is a very good issue to have. I would want to keep Ross and Baker, I think they are both playing well enough to keep their spots. So, we bring back Cotch and we add Balta, we would lose . . . well, Short and, geez, too hard.

DS

Not sure they will be rushing Balta in to play on McInerney - He has kicked 9 goals this year. He he a very average fwd. not bad in the ruck though. We will back our back 6 to zone off roll back and get the job done I’d imagine.

Yeah no chance Essendon gets up. They are safe in the 8. This will be a practice run for Collingwood.

disagree.

Pies without Sidebottom could exceed their injury tipping point.

Degoey, Sidebottom, Stephenson

is like us without dusty, cotchy and JR

I think they will win, but are vulnerable.

Bombers roll the dice, nothing to lose.

im tipping an epic like Anzac Day.

Our game plan relies on our pressure on the opposition up the ground and not allowing them enough opportunities to score highly. Our backline are masters at creating a free man back and intercepting the rushed inside 50s and sling shot ting it quickly back out. We've played some very tall forward opposition and handled it well on most occassions with our undersized backline. I wouldn't be changing that. If we are being beaten by tall opposition it's be ause our gameplan pressure isn't up to scratch. Only way I'd bring Balta in atm is as a replacement for Chol.

It may not happen but it definitely isn’t ridiculous.

hes calling for George or Rioli out for Naish on the eve of a flag tilt?

im pretty sure you could poll 103,000 RFC members,

and a 102,965 would go

'thats ridiculous'

Agree, now's not the time to trial a 2 gamer when there's been opportunity all season to do so. Clearly management see Naish continuing his VFL development before getting a call up next year.

I'm warming to the idea of Balta coming in for Chol.

In: Cotch
Out: Baker, (Shedda moves to half back).

lol, just lol.

Don’t worry about the inclusions this week, just worry what umpires are selected to do the game.
We haven’t had Fisher or Deboy in a while.

If he goes out for the skipper, I don’t reckon it means anything. Ultimately, he’s probably competing with Graham for a spot.
Yeah I tend to think if he hadn’t got injured , he would’ve cemented his spot in the team , but unfortunately for him he may be one of the unlucky ones now, if they think he is underdone for finals .
