Robbie Tarrant - Welcome to the Jungle

A lot cheaper on the Rookie list as done in the past with Tom Lynch at Norf & Goldsack at Pawt, etc.
True, but his injury came whilst contracted. This may be his deal with the club to start his coaching journey. Our defence is ranked in the top 2 or 3 in the league so we're doing something right in that area at the club.

Always seemed pointless recruiting him. 20 games is about the average i reckon for recruiting players over 30.

Agree. I suppose he was handy for our finals run last season, but wasted a spot this season. Rest the #6 for Charlie.

Maybe doing some coaching this year while being paid as a player.

We knew what we were getting, I figure he was recruited to fill in the Astbury role while we get some young players up to speed.

All I can remember is him kicking a great 60 metre goal for us....
That was disallowed.
Got him 2-3 years too late.

We’re very fortunate Tylar Young has emerged.

Best of luck to Taz. Played a few good games with us. Maybe if the ARC had gone our way it was worth the punt.

From what I heard on the radio from his announcement, he was more effusive about his 20 games at RFC, than his 170 at the Kangas.

.....
From what I saw at training a fair bit of that is down to Robbie and his on track coaching. Truck as well, but Robbie was teaching the bodywork, 1 on 1 with Tylar over the pre-season.

Then we knew what we were getting. I think the club would have factored that in.
Didn't cost us anything.
He bridged 12 months when we wouldn't have had someone to fill the hole. First half of last year was iffy, but he came good.
It was worth the risk, even if we didn't get 30 games out of him.
