They would need a weight bearing scan to confirm any issue with the syndesmosis so it unlikely to be a confirmed diagnosis yet, if it is a high ankle then that will be the concern.

Having said that however, if they suspected syndesmosis I'd be very puzzled as to why he doesn't have a moonboot on in the photos.

Agreed.

The worry is he loses focus and the injury coincides with off season and he loses motivation. Was always going to be the big test when he doesn’t have structure. Now he goes into the off season without club support. Very worrying

Well it's up to him isn't it.
After seeing numerous players with high ceilings of potential throw away their careers with poor behaviour, Stack doesn't seem to be one of those but who knows.

He went off injured with 15 touches
What was the point of him playing in the 2’s?
Windy Hill has always been a cow paddock nothing has changed.
Didn’t they build a 10000 billion venue at Essendon airport??

Being a touch melodramatic here DA.

haha beat me to it again Olly,

I was just typing

So he's busted his ankle AND gone off the rails yesterday? Hope he doesn't discover a melanoma under a toenail and declare he is transitioning to a woman to play AFLW, just to cap off this sudden downturn?

Ha ha. I’d had a few wines by then and was feeling pretty down about him being dropped with innuendo that it was for disciplinary reasons and then the injury on top. Feeling more optimistic about life today and will never listen to Mr Brightside’s clinical diagnosis again.
Wasn’t suggesting that anything was definitely going to happen but think Stacks challenge will definitely be the off season without structure

That’s a challenge for all young players.

That’s a challenge for all young players.

Stack's challenges were previously well documented. He doesn’t have great structure outside of the football club. He will be given an off-season program like all players and hope this helps keep him focused. They even give them GPS watches to record their activities.
It’s definitely up to him how he goes about it though.

Maybe he'll travel with Dusty & Swanny in the off season. Keep him on the straight and narrow.
At least they'll teach him how to have fun, not get caught, and win a brownlow. The club should force him to go.

Jumping at shadows

From Hardwick's presser, it is a syndesmosis injury and he has surgery this week.
Similar in timing and nature to Lambert's injury (and Lambert got back to play finals)

From memory it was a two week recovery.rehab and two weeks training.

So Stacky misses next week. If we get top 4 and win our QF , Stacky is back for the prelim.

Don't think he can get back in if that's the case.
